I know many on here are not fans of the Miley family. However, they had there 410 races on the schedule before Latrobe and Mercer. For some reason, Latrobe with their crate specials and Mercer with their sprint shows seem to get off on going up against Miley. I also saw where Mercer is now running crate late models on the 27th. It is just getting ridiculous at this point. As you said Benny, there are not enough 410's to go around. So I don't look for any of these events to be successful.

I like going to Latrobe, but they need to start looking at other tracks before they add these "pop up" events. The big losers are the fans.

Trust me Flash, they are looking at the schedules BEFORE adding these pop up shows. It isnt happenstance.

The question for the 410 racers is where is the best payout per where they think they can finish and who is least likely to stiff them on payout.
Historically PPMS is MOST likely to stiff them out of some payout most likely claiming not enough entries.
PPMS will be the hardest on their engines and I'm guessing Latrobes track will be rough, but don't know just guessing.
That leaves Mercer for those who have the cash or backing to race with PPMS and Latrobe splitting on cars.
Who do you thing will go where to race? With AJ probably heading east who's going to go where?
What cars go where might be determined by which track is the shortest tow.

Dirt- Ill buy you a beer and a Miley burger if you can provide one specific example of the Mileys themselves stiffing a driver on pay. Ive been involved with the track in some capacity basically my whole life and have never seen or heard of that one time. Ive actually heard the opposite- people may hate how the Mileys run things but theyve never stiffed on pay.
Looks like someone may owe YOU a beer and a burger !!!

Yes, you are probably right. One of their publicity pieces on their Facebook page indicates that 20 drivers have said they would be coming, but they won't name names because those drivers probably said they were interested in coming, but would not make any commitment.

There was a crate race many years ago now in which everyone was docked $100 or so from the advertised pay because of a "entry fee we forgot about."

100% agree they took $100 out of the pay because they either forgot or didnt collect that entry fee. Wont dispute that. But they never cut the purse because they didnt get the car count they wanted. I remember one year at Fallfest Challenger told the emods while in lineup for the feature they were cutting the purse. Never forgot that. Or at the King of the Knob they told emods after hot laps they were cutting the purse and we could go home if we didnt like it. I was speaking of situations like that. Mileys always pay, like them or not.

I just saw tonight that Mercer cancelled for this Saturday. So now it's either PPMS or Latrobe. I have heard rumors that the announcer who takes pictures at Latrobe has been trying to entice drivers to come by offering free pit passes. But they did claim on facebook they have 20 drivers who are coming as mentioned above.

I heard the exact same thing with the "FREE PIT PASS" if you come to Latrobe over PPMS. Slap in the face to the drivers who support Latrobe every week and all they get is a lousy bottle of free water.

Saturday will be interesting as Latrobe added $2400 to the 410 purse, making it $5,000 to win and $1900 for second, in an effort to steal cars from the PPMS Fast sanctioned event previously scheduled at WVMS. If youre also giving those drivers free pit passes it makes me wonder how you are actually making money on the deal, but its not my call!
I'd imagine they won't make much.
PPMS will pull from Ohio and northwestern PA. They'll benefit from being an hour west of Latrobe and having a much nicer racing surface.

Way I see it is your giving 1 FREE PIT Pass away and in return that guy is bring his crew of say 4-6 guys in. Their making money trust me or else they wouldn't be having them.

I would think that most teams bring about 3 guys, no? Plus I think the heats pay at PPMS, which kinda gets you a "free" pit pass or possibly more, right?
Is this only for the sprint teams? Do all the other divisions have to pay for all of their people? What does that say to them?

I did the math on their advertised payout. If they get 12 cars like PPMS and Mercer did for their non-sanctioned shows that's a payout of $12,675. If they average 4 guys in the pits per car @ $35, with one being free, that's $135 per car or $1,260 back gate towards the purse.
If they get 20 guys like they are advertising expressed interest, that's a payout of $15,400 with $2,100 back gate towards the purse.
I understand they have sponsors adding to the purse, but that's a lot of additional bodies in the stands to cover that payout. I don't see an entry fee listed either. But like I've said many times regarding this subject I'm not a track owner so my opinion doesn't matter. Just seems really risky to me.
