They never said they had 20 cars confirmed to come, but they spoke to 20 teams who are interested. The surface at Latrobe hasn't been all that bad. In their defense they have had the 410s on their schedule since they released it (my point) is they should have looked around a little more before releasing it. Flick and Lynch are closer to Latrobe they may get Spithaler, Sodeman and some of the guys who don't run PPMS. 10-12 is still the only realistic amount when Tri City had 9 and Knox 13.
I believe you are right Benny. I look for each track to get about 12, neither will be lose to a full field.

If they get 20 guys like they are advertising expressed interest, that's a payout of $15,400 with $2,100 back gate towards the purse
Thats exactly what I said. It was a hypothetical.

They jerked him around about parking his rig in the pit.

Sye Lynch was at Latrobe and gone by 4:30
They jerked him around about parking his rig in the pit.
Where did they want him to park in a corn field?

Well, there is one very close by, lol. The problem at Latrobe is the pits are way too small and they sell spots to their regular competitors, so when they have an extra division on a given night, it causes quite a bit of havoc. And they are not very accommodating about helping you find a spot.
On another note, I was very disappointed that Tim Shaffer did not have his sprint car at PPMS tonight.

Funny how it's crickets today on Latrobes facebook page. I would have thought they would have posted the results from last night. I really want to know if they still paid out 5 large to the winner with only 7 cars showing up. As Vince posted before, they keep throwing out big money and not getting cars. Doesn't seem like a good business model.

Unfortunately, Dave Kittey was responsible for getting the results out quickly at Latrobe, and due to his untimely passing last week, the race rundowns may not be available until Monday or later.

Tim told me at his kart track on Wednesday that they were bring it. Don't know what happened.

I know many on here are not fans of the Miley family. However, they had there 410 races on the schedule before Latrobe and Mercer. For some reason, Latrobe with their crate specials and Mercer with their sprint shows seem to get off on going up against Miley. I also saw where Mercer is now running crate late models on the 27th. It is just getting ridiculous at this point. As you said Benny, there are not enough 410's to go around. So I don't look for any of these events to be successful.
NOT TRUE! Latrobe had this show on their schedule since last year! FACT!

But the original purse was no where near $5K to win. That was the "pop-up" aspect of this race, just like when they raised the purse for the Crate Late Models opposite the Jook race at the last minute.

What's the crime with increasing the purse as long as both races were already on the schedule?
