I was told they had  4, 410 Sprints for their good payout, no fans in the stands to speak of and told the winning Spring here's your $500 for a $3000 to win show and that's all you get.

 

Was I told wrong?

I haven't been to Mercer in years but a quick look at their Website and Facebook page and the official press release from the track shows that you are only partially correct and that the track didn't try to hide anything. I can only assume by the way that you wrote your post without even looking for the information that you hoped to bash the track.

The 410 Sprints had an interesting situation as only four cars showed up to do battle.. track management and the drivers agreed to run 2 8 lap dashes that paid $500 to win each with $400 for 2nd $300 for 3rd and $200 for 4th.
