I don't know why I'm shocked by this at this point but I'm seeing $40 for pits Friday and & $75 Saturday. Don't see a 2 day option. $50 for grandstand Saturday and $100 to drive you car in the grandstands and park in addition to your ticket. Also a charge to drive your vehicle in the pits. It's a 75 lap race for $20k I doubt it draws much more than the Lucas regulars and the tri state area guys. $50 for a pit pass to the Hillbilly Hundred at Tyler County Speedway with 3 other classes running. $40 for a pit pass at raceway 7 on Friday. I'm all for supporting local racing, but the track shouldn't be surprised to have empty seats with streaming available and 2 other races close the previous nights. Promoters with prices like this aren't interested in helping the sport, they're just trying to pad their pockets. But sometimes a reasonable price could draw a much larger crowd. We shall see who shows.

It might not even matter, they are saying the area could have lots of rain next weekend due to the hurricane that is about to hit Florida.

I know these same prices were debated last year and they got 35 Lucas cars and the stands were pretty full. This year theyre adding a $10K to win Rush race so I guess it is what it is. Hopefully the weather holds out.

Say what you want about the Mileys, but they've kept PPMS running for 30 straight years, a pretty solid accomplishment.  So when you say they're not interested in helping the sport, I would beg to differ.  The same person who bitches about the $75 pit fee (so don't go in the pits) has no problem springing for a Penguin or Steeler ticket and paying $20 for a beer.  If you can't afford it, don't go, but please spare us this same post every year.  If the promoter doesn't "pad" his pockets, the race track won't open the following year.  If the weather is decent (which isn't looking so good right now) the race will draw a pretty big crowd, it always does, regardless of the prices.

I know people are saying tire shortages are causing a few tracks to cut laps. Why ppms is doing it is beyond me. Then there running the crates, O boy. I'll be pulling for them to get the show in, but I'll be watching it on tv this year.

Lucas Oil cut the laps, not PPMS, any former 100 laps races on a half mile track have all been reduced to 75 laps this year.

Weather doesn't look bad at all for Friday and Saturday. Looks like rain stays south.

Outlaws races and anything south of PA probably gets rained out. Cars could be coming north...

So at this point why not move the Pittsburgher to Friday with Raceway 7 canceled and not chance it on Saturday? Seems like a no brainer to me. Either way I'll be watching from KY but doubt there will be a race Saturday.

Check the track facebook. They say the rain is over by noon Saturday. Meanwhile everyone else says rain all day Saturday.

Is tomorrow streaming anywhere? Not much else going on and after the circus Rush put on tonight I'd like to check it out.

PPMS tonight and with the rain coming in looks like Wayne County and/or Fremont tomorrow will be the only place to watch live any racing.
