I had a blast last night and track was in great shape. BUT- they have to figure out a way to cut back on qualifying or do some on Thursday. The first heat race didnt roll out until about 8:50 pm. And it was about 40 degrees. Again, great car count and conditions. But it was midnight when I had to call it a night and they still had the 305 Sprint, emods, and mini stocks to go. Had to miss the band and and fire. Unless you were camping (which a lot of folks were) theres really no way to see all the action unless you can handle 7 hours in 40 degree weather until 130 am lol.

Excellent post 17,  but I thought they moved the program along as best they could.  Compare it to Latrobe,  night and day!!  Thanks to L'ville for running the classes in an order that will allow us oldtimers to see the main classes and get out of the cold.  BB's SLM Sprints RLM POPS all ran first.  I appreciate that!!!!  And a 4:00 start is a nice effort to race when its a little warmer.

Yeah I agree they moved the show along well. If they just dropped qualifying for SLM and 410s, and kept it for the larger touring Rush and Penn Ohio shows they probably could have started racing around 8.

Enough with the qualifying. Time trials add nothing to the show for the fans and it uses up the track.

I went tonight, watched our four divisions and left. I get cold very easily, So I was grateful they ran the regular divisions first. The track was positively awful. But I kind of expected it with tonight being the third night in a row and the fact that it was pretty breezy today. Better seeing that than the next six months without it.
