Viper Motorsports, Commitment Issues?

If its the drivers leaving there clearly has to be something wrong, so why are other drivers taking the seat? Yeah, a ride is a ride but if doomed to fail from the start why not look elsewhere?
If Viper is making the changes, why? Id assume they have a lot of or all of the input when it comes to running with the Outlaws. They will finish 3rd, maybe second with 2 more strong runs in points, and hes being replaced by his counterpart battling for second and the rookie of the year chase. Did they expect a championship given the lackluster competition compared to other series? This reminds me of Marian Hossa, who was with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 08 and lost the cup to Detroit, then in 09 with Detroit lost the cup to the penguins. The most successful teams mesh for years to get as good as they are.
On a side note, Blair replacing Richards should help Booms program in 2023. Richards doesnt deserve a ride and hasnt for quite some time. If anyone is considering putting him in a car Id suggest looking at some younger talent that wants to win.

I think its the cocky and arrogant owner. He told Kyle Hardy they would run WOO full time a few years ago. They went to speedweeks, had a few top tens, then he booted him. Darryl Lanagan didnt last long either, as well as Jeremy Miller. Blair had close to 30 wins for Martin in a year and a half, who wouldnt be happy with that? At least he got the chance to run WOO a full season. From reading Martin's post's, it looks like hes a cocky, demanding, miserable person probably not fun to drive/work for. Just my opinion, I very well could be wrong.

You are probably right, Max did a very good job in that car. Changing drivers every other year or so tells me Martin must be a difficult boss.

Ive never been a Blair fan really, mostly because he was so overrated in his younger days and you all treated him like royalty, but what is going on at Viper Motorsports? They cant seem to keep anyone around and Im not sure if its them making the changes or drivers leaving.

In all fairness, Josh Richards has not been in a top-flight ride for quite a while, decent rides, but nothing exceptional.

That seems to be the general consensus, but it was a good opportunity for Blair and hell likely continue touring for the foreseeable future thanks to this past year. I guess English will put his year in and probably land with another team.

The Bowyer ride was certainly on par and he hadnt performed in that ride for years. This year in 39 starts he has only four top 5s and will finish in points ahead of only Gordy Gundaker and Boom Briggs. He had brand new equipment to start the season. For comparison Jared Miley has one win and two top 5s in three starts. Jason Feger has one win and four top 5s in 9 starts. I truly dont think the ride is the issue and I expect Max is going to prove my point early next season. Miley and Feger dont have a top-flight ride but the numbers say they could run circles around Richards while blindfolded.
