SKYLINE AND OHIO VALLEY TEAM UP TO PRESENT 410 WINGED SPRINT DOUBLE HEADER THIS WEEKEND!!!

BY: CHAD MCVEY

The Mid-Ohio Valley sprint car fans will get a rare treat this weekend July 13th-14th. Two nights of back to back 410 winged sprint car racing. Friday July 13th the 410 winged sprints will run at Brent and Cathy Steele’s Skyline Speedway. On Saturday July 14th the sprints will take to Ohio Valley Speedway.

Although the sprints have been racing off and on the last few years at OVS, it will be the first time the Sprints have taken to the high-banked Skyline Speedway since the late 1990’s. The track was a hotbed of sprint car racing in the 60’s, 70’s, and the 80’s. The winged warriors will run a 25 lap feature for $1200 to win, and $175 to start. It is also kid’s night at the races with all kinds of give-a-ways for kids of all ages. There will be regular racing in all regular racing divisions. General admission is $15.00, kids 6-12 $5.00, and kids under 6 free. Pit Admission will be $30.00. Gates will open at 5:00, with warm-ups slated for 7:00, and racing to follow. More information is available at http://www.skylinespeedway.net or on race-day by calling (740)-662-4111.

Saturday the winged 410 sprints will venture just 30 minutes up the road to the tight, tacky Ohio Valley Speedway. It will be Burger King family night at the speedway with all kinds of give-a-ways. General Admission for this event at the Valley is $15 per person (children 10 and under admitted Free) with Pit Passes being $30 per person.

Additional classes racing that evening will be: Late Model, Modified, Street Stock, Pure Stock, 4 Cylinder Front Wheel Drive, and Mini-wedges.

Ohio Valley Speedway is located on WV Rt. 68 south of Lubeck at the intersection of West Virginia Rt. 68 and Wadesville Road. For more information regarding the Ohio Valley Speedway, call: 740-989-0019 or 304-489-1871 or visit us on the web at: www.ohiovalleyspeedway.com.
