First time seeing Corey day, 17, this kid stands on the gas. If not for his CA ride this kid jumped in the 7bc and was challenging for the win. Bright future. Krietz, there's your driver for the national open.

Shane Bowers left the 17 car to go to California to work with Cory Day this year.

Was Shane with him and did they go as a team to the 7 car?

Pretty interesting that Shane headed west this year and I think but not sure Brian Keminah headed south to also work with a west coaster.

Both are easy going easy to talk to meticulous people who are great listeners asking soft perinate open questions of their drivers.

edit:  I think on all of the above is correct but not sure not being able to get around as much this year.

IMHO, Shane and Brian are two of the best if not the current two best chiefs around.

... and no that's not political or kissing butt chrome horn, it's called I have great respect for them and their skills.  ... :)

Corey Day is just filling in with the 7BC car until Tyler Courtney returns from his injuries.

Flash, correct me if wrong, isn't Day going back to the west coast and Macri back in the 7bc ?

Macri was fast in the family ride. He seems to be struggling. Yea people say it takes time ti get comfortable. Well someone forgot to tell Sanders and Day that.

This craziness has shown there is 2 guys that seem to be ready to race with anybody.

Hoping Krietz would have looked at A.J. for the 69k the kid has won and ran well at port royal. I was told he did talk to Krietz, but didn't believe he was going to be the pick.

My question is did his crew chief go with him for his temporary ride which he did well in or did he go alone as a temporary hired gun filling in as a driver only with the cars current crew?

I don't know the answer, however I doubt if a big-time team like Clauson-Marshall racing wouldn't just use their own crew chief.
