Where are they getting the payout money, and how long can they keep paying out like that?

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out for Tri City. I really don't see large numbers of Lernerville teams going to race up there, maybe a few of the Sprint and Mod teams that are closer and further North. I would say it does probably take away any Northern Late Model or Sprint teams that would sometimes go to Lernerville on occasion. The purse structure up there almost seems to good, like how can they sustain it? Especially, considering they have two other classes to pay out.

I think that the real draw for drivers will be the open tire rule. They can run better and less expensive tires. But yeah, time will tell.

What are the odds that Tri-City will screw the drivers by cutting the payout if they don't get X amount of cars.
It would make Tri-City a tow once and don't go again track.
I think odds are good Lernerville will not reduce payout because of Tri-City taking cars from them.
Not because they think the cars will be back but because there more dependable for the racers and will have fans in the stands no matter what Tri-City does.

Might Lernervilles Sunday mini series also be a way to throw a nail in the coffin of Tri-City for going to Fridays and being another area track running on Fridays?
The mini series may be intended to make it economically impossible for Tri-City to go back to Sunday's effectively closing the track for screwing with them?
We have no idea what conversations if any went on behind the scenes between track owners or if there pissed at each other?

The Sundays at Lernerville give them more content for their streaming service, Tri City already has some Sunday races scheduled against them later in the season.

I was going to go but went to a benefit skikki dinner in the afternoon so didn't make it to Lernerville.
I watched it on Dirt TV and the car quality and racing was great and wish I could have made it there.
Dirt didn't show the stands and the pit bleachers were mostly empty.
I hope they had a good or great crowd because with the quality I saw on Dirt it's a want to go to race day for me.

The stands were pretty empty.
Was the camera work okay on dirt.tv? I thought John Conley did a great job as producer.

Don't know nothing about camera work to comment about good or bad.
If it don't rain the show I saw at home was good enough to make me do my best to get there Sunday.
Hoping for Mercer Saturday and Lernerville Sunday.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. I wanted to know if the camera movement was distracting. I was one of the camera operators and all all I can see is how unsmooth my shots were. We didn't have as many cameras as usual.

I have a gimble dji camera to record with stability and an underwater case so dirt track dirt doesn't jam the mechanicals of it.
That's light and easy to carry.
I would figure it could be hooked up for real time broadcast but don't know for sure.
Wasn't cheap to buy but after loosing a couple of very small wide angle cannons to dust I bought it for stability and keep dirt and water out.

TCS is historically very hard on tires. I think for many teams the travel and tire costs more than offset the difference in the purse. Teams will go there that are desperate to win because the field(s) won't be as competitive. That will help TCS at first, but it is hardly a sustainable business model.

Im not gonna speak for anyone else but I know we were planning on TC all winter but the abrasive track/ lack of visibility opening night has us leaning the other direction this week. $600 in tires every week just isnt sustainable.Be interesting to see who goes where. My guesses without really inside info other than what I see in socials would be something like this
Sprints
Lernerville - Flick, Bowser, Begenwald, Jerich, shelter, the kiley 4k, jones, kuriger
TC - Matus's, Sodeman, Felmlee, Peterson, Metheny, Weaver, Cavannaugh
Super Lates
Ville - Ferree, Norris, Duritsky, Flinner, Schaltnebrand, Yetter, Dietz, Lyle, Garvin
TC - Bossard, Lee , Herman, Wyatt, Scott's
Mods
Ville-shingledecker, krummert, Murdick, feder, Kozar,Beatty,
TC - King, Rapp, Reitz, cipriano, fink, Shea
No clue on slater, reglaski and Walter's
Pro stocks not sure there will be a lot of difference

My guess is that Lernerville will still get a crowd, TC less and less, until they are either spending their own money or paying the purse from the back gate.
