I don't know if there will a point fund at the end of the year. But i do know Saturday night racing is no way to get rich or make money and the facilty and track at WMP has been better this year. I'am sure there has been many nights that Cub and Mike have had to dig into there pockets to pay prize money and Track help so please be supportive of them so we can have a local track to race at next year.
amen the pay outs have been better

Hang on a minute there.......maybe the payouts are better for the mods and sprints but the trucks are running for the same amount of money as last season and we never said anything about it at all simply because we were thankful to have a place to run.....and now our points fund is being taken away after we pay $4 more to get in every week?????
And Mr. Push........I am thankful that we have WMP to run at every week and that they have put a bunch of labor and money in the track. I also know racing isn't about getting rich but it is about earning enough money to keep your own team going also. Cub and Andy aren't the only ones that have to dig deep in their pockets every week........us racers do also!!!! Taking a points fund away without saying anything about it is NOT a cool thing to do and I hope it's a nasty rumor and rumor only.

After reading what people have to say about this current subject it is time for my statement. As far as a point fund I would think that you could come up to a member of the track staff and discuss it in that way instead of coming on here and asking people that are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the track on what they think or what they have heard. You will get a better answer doing it that way.
There still is no answer in your response as to the point fund. I'm sure the track isn't making much, if any, money this year, but that happens with most new buisnesses. You have to invest before you see a return. Alot of teams have invested in Waynesfield and don't expect to be left out. I think the stock cars got the raw deal by being left out this year, are the mods, trucks, minis next? The track is much faster this year but is it racier? I don't think so. How many races are being won from the front row. There was hope for the little guy in the sprints for awhile, now its back to horsepower. For those of us that have supported the track, we've excepted the higher pit passes, the rougher track, the uncertainty of a point fund, and so on, because we still like to race there. Its still the best thing going. I hope everything comes together and we can keep the track goin for years to come.

Right now it is only Cub and Mike running Wmp Andy has been gone for more than a month i hope they can get back together for the best of all parties. As far as the point fund i hope all classes get some end of the year money to help with there expences i understand how much money it takes to go racing every week.First and foremost......This is a discussion tread for peopel to inquire opinions. All I was asking is "I heard a rumor that there is no points fund this year, and is that true?". This mean that has anyone else heard the same thing....
Everyone has a complaint every now and then about a racetrack but it's how the track deals with those complaints that sets them apart from other tracks. To this point I think WMP has done a wonderful job of this and I expect that to continue. I was simply inquiring about the point fund and that's it...........Will we have one?
Please don't take it out on everyone for a few idiots that chew out the girl at the hotdog stand because they got put to the tail.........we're not all like that!

Now to start with, I am not one to complain about what goes on at the track, however, everybody parks in about the same place every week and at the least the classes have specified parking so if there is a problem in a certain area then maybe there should be a conference with that class so they know that WMP knows who is doing it. And if it is coming from the area of the trucks then I welcome anybody from WMP to stop down at the # 8 truck and let me know and I will be more than happy to stay and help clean up after the races and I am sure I can round up a small crew to help. And I know you are passing out the money at the end and I applaud you for the work you do but it sounds obvious that you must know who it is that is causing problems at the payout window and if thats the case don't blow up on everybody at the drivers meetings. Just deal with the problem people, I know if that happened at Eldora when Earl was around you would have a boot on the backside as you exited the track. I enjoy coming out every week when I can but just because I am not there for every race does not make me any less of a racer, it just means I have a family, a job and sometime other commitments, or maybe a last minute problem that we cant fix in a short time but that does not mean that I dont support the track. I think the job that everybody does at the track has been above and beyond this year but I dont want to see it end up being just another job just to go to the track. I got to the point that I rarely go to Limaland because of all the attitudes from some[not all] of there staff and I got tired of hearing "If you dont like it dont come back" so I dont. If anybody does not agree with me thats fine, You know what the say about opinions, and this is just mine. You can find me down at the # 8 pits with the trucks if you need anything, Roger Keysor
Roger, and all.....
a couple of years ago, a bunch of teams even volunteered themselves (not by request, at all), to do a WORK day or two at the track in the fall. I think the good guys in racing will sooner or later, overshadow the ones who are not so considerate (whoever it may be). If a volunteer crew is necessary, let us know. We'll continue to help!
