#406218 Now at TDN. "Austin Hubbard- The Do It Yourself Method"

Posted by The Dirt Network on 06 May 2015 - 07:19 PM

Our own Jerin Steele recently got the chance to talk with Super Late Model driver and former touring member of the World of Outlaws, Austin Hubbard. The 23 year old, former WoO LM rookie of the year spoke candidly about what it's like to run his own operation, how he determines where he should race, and the current challenges that face the sport.

"Sometimes you got to weigh the cost of fuel (for the transporter) versus the chances of making money," Hubbard said. "The two biggest costs are fuel for the hauler and engines. I don't see the price of fuel going down and I don't know if anyone has the answer when it comes to engines. If they did they'd be doing it right now."

#401428 Jim Fosnaught

Posted by The Dirt Network on 30 November 2014 - 08:34 PM

Jim Fosnaught recently took time to talk with us at TDN about his 2014 that saw him not only win six feature events at Lernerville, but also saw him take home his first career track championship. Jim talked about the changes he made that helped bring about his finest season and also about his beginnings in micro sprints and what the season meant to him.

"But this year we said that we're just going to go out there and race, we didn't care about points and we really didn't care about winning, whatever was meant to be was what was meant to be. And we kept that mindset for most of the year. There did come a time when I started to think about the points though, but I didn't let it take me over. Basically, we were just trying to have fun."

Also at TDN, our 2015 410 Sprint North East Regional Championship will be interesting to say the least, to see the criteria we have an unveiling of what will be in the coming season here. http://thedirtnetwor...winged-410.html

Have a great week everyone!
