Tribute to Herb Scott

Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway with be hosting the Herb Scott Memorial Saturday June 15, 2013 paying tribute to one of Western Pennsylvania greatest race car drivers. In conjunction with this evening Dave Olivieri from Dunn-Olivieri Racing is pleased to announce a special tribute to Herb Scott with the release of a series of decals that will display several of the cars that Herb drove and a few special moments in his racing career.
The # 180 Beckman Motors Coupe, #0 Coupe, #1 McMillen & Baer Chevy, #7 Baierl Camaro and Herb's 500 career win at Lernerville. The decals will be sold for $2 each and three for $5 and all sales of the decals per the Scott's family will go to helping out " Cowboy" Brian Steinman. This will be a great opportunity for our race fans both young and old to celebrate Herb Scott's carrer and at the same time help out Brian.
PPMS, owner Matt Miley has agreed to let me launch this tribute at Saturdays Memorial Race and I hope other tracks will get invoved in this tribute as I will keep this going up to the PCTC Old Timers Gathering in November. So come to PPMS this Satuday and enjoy some great racing, and let all of us celebrate Herb Scott's racing career.

Twin State Auto Racing Club 2nd Annual Vintage Racing Movie Party

Twin State Auto Racing Club presents our 2nd Annual Vintage Racing Movie Party Saturday December 1, 2012 from 2pm until ? at : Pro Auto Glass 1430 N. Hermitage Road Hermitage, Pa 16148.
The Twin State Auto Racing Club and Tim Henrich owner of of Pro Auto Glass invite you to spend an afternoon of enjoying vintage racing movies and photos from the 60's, 70's and 80's. There is footage from Sharon, Expo, Raceway 7, Canfield and Hickory just to name a few of the local tracks. If you have a few movies or photos you would like to share, please bring them along with you. There will be set ups for DVD's, VHS and even 8mm. Last years event was attended by over 50 club and non members, and you never know who may just show up. Last years the Quarterson's Ralph and Tommy, and Andy Lutz showed up to take a trip down Memory Lane.
Food and NON ALCOHOLIC beverages will be provided by the club.The cost of an afternoon at the movies is $5 dollars. Now that racing is over for 2012 come on out and meet friends both old and new and bring back the "good ol days".
