Well after lernerville having the crate show. In my opinion it happened because they want to show fans that were there for the Firecracker to notice them. Nothing more. You guys just flat out refuse to admit that without hanging on to the coattails of a big event. They can't and won't survive. You needs fans in the stands. Tell me where as a stand alone show there putting butts in the seats ? Crate lates are good for the racer, I've said so from the beginning. I've also said I don't like the takeover of all racing.
Free advertising. So if it is from rush or fastrack nobody is bending your finger to click on it. You want to talk bumping, go look in the classifieds. Something I don't get is why PR people are not taking advantage of posting things about there track or event. Brad uses the board for positive posts about products and has had items listed in the classifieds. Penn Ohio along with 17L use it to there benefit and I say good for them.
Air means everything anymore. Bodies are 1 of the cheapest parts on a car. I don't see why the majority keep complaining about bodies. Myself I think today's LM and modified bodies look really good. The expensive crap is what's under that sheet metal.
I don't get why people click on rush posts. Nobody replies. Personally I do not. To me it's just more garbage stuffed down the racers throat. All contingencies have some kind of loophole. There not giving anything away for free.
Sitting here watching east bay live and Michael Lake got up in his side. After getting the car back on 4 wheels this young man struggled mightily to get out of that car. He is a tremendous young talent. This young man ever needs to bail in a emergency it just isn't going to happen. At 17 someone needs to see that in his family.
Funny. Fastrack releases a statement and nobody talks about the specifics. I wish Stan would come on here and give everyone some idea of what guys are really spending on shock packages. Many think they understand, but after discussing it with him at Screven last year, many have no clue.
Almost every form of major league racing is hurting fan wise except for in my opinion. Short track dirt track racing. Yes, weekly shows are struggling for premium car counts everywhere. You go to a Lucas show, all-stars and WoO sprint or SLM and you see strong fields of quality equipment. It is what it is. The Friday WoO show at the Grove was outstanding. So, toss some clothes in the vehicle of choice and hit the road to a traveling show. I don't think you're going to be disappointed.
The stock car guys that show up at mercer were not going to stateline in the first place. The show is about the sprint cars. The rest of the added classes are there for one reason only. Cash in the back gate. Tracks, today, for the most part could care less about working together. Look what dog hollow is doing. So, if MC opens in July ? We're does it leave both parties ? This race at mercer is being put together by racers that don't want to see the place die. They have put together what they believe will help them cover costs. The purse for the sprint car show needs to be there main concern. It is what the show is about, sprint cars.
Why in the hell can no one respect the Potts family and what is taking place ? I say, put things into perspective, family comes first. It is something the family is dealing with and at the same time keeping the racer and fans informed. I say good for them.
