Your right flash, raceceivers are in my opinion a great way to inform drivers what's going on. Those kids that used to be on the front row of seats with there flags watching that guy hi above him wave those flags. They are the ones that will miss it the most.

I drove up twice this year skull. I would do a Friday grove show and then head over to port royal. You better believe they get it. They run that place like a business should be run. They don't worry about how many burgers and dogs have to be sold. Efficient programs, I wanted to make the mod race this year as I watched it last year and was impressed with that too. Pickleball tournament had me committed. I used to attend the stampede, and your correct, for the time of the year they want to keep people in the place way to long. We are the minority that's for sure because there making money on that deal.

What do you guys want them to say ? They saw it, smokey was right there in the middle of it. Everybody understands what happened. One of the Tomson's picked up a headset or phone and said I'm making the call. Was it right, O hell no, the guy that I feel bad for is smokey. PR you mention Gamble and yourself as being devoted, I don't question that. But making that call wasn't fair to a track steward as loyal as smokey. Period. That man has been at pit boards for how many years ? Bush league call by whomever is at fault.

Don't know if anyone has seen this. A picture was posted of the facilities and it has been said the Miley family has sold the speedway to a developer and the plans are to flatten the place. Sad news, I realize it's been many years since the last dirt race, but that place was special. When it was converted to asphalt and had nascar sanctioning the place looked great. So did they finally lower the asking price or did a developer need a large tax write off ? If the price was lowered questions and speculation will surely start. Thanks for the memories, we called it the drome.
