WELL I HAVE NEVER SAID ANY THING ON HERE BUT I HAVE TO SPEAK UP THIS TIME I LIKE THE TRUCK CLASS I HELPED THE C.O. WELDING BUNCH LAST YEAR AND THE TRUCKS ARE GREAT AT WAYNESFIELD I AM BUILDING ONE MYSELF BUT THEY COULDNT GET IT DONE AT ELDORA NOT ENOUGH HP .I HAVE FIELDED A LATE MODEL AT ELDORA I UNDERSTAND WHY YOU WANT TO GO THERE, BUT IT IS VERY HARD ON EQUIPMENT, YOUR MOTOR GETS TWICE THE ABUSE THERE.DO YOU WANT TO TEST YOU ROLL CAGE THERE ?. MAN THIS IS A GREAT CLASS BUT THIS IS A SHORT TRACK COMBINATION .PLUS TRAVELING WITH FUEL THRU THE ROOF RACING CLOSE TO HOME MAKES SENSE. I HAVE STOOD IN LINE AT THE PAY WINDOW AT OAKSHADE AT 2:30AM WITH A 120 MILES TO GO HOME TRAVELING CAN LOSE ITS LUSTER. THIS IS JUST MY 2 CENTS WORTH BUT FOR ME 25 MIN. FROM HOME AND MAYBE A $100 SPENT A NIGHT COMPARED TO A $1000 A NIGHT MAKES THE TRUCKS LOOK GREAT, BUT I DONT THINK THEY WOULD FARE WELL AT ELDORA. I AM TELLING YOU THE FUNMETER TO DOLLAR SPENT THIS TRUCK CLASS AT WAYNESFIELD IS A BARGAIN BELIEVE MEWell Dirt racer I see what class you Dont like.As for the push truck comment..........Put your steering wheel where your mouth is! Its really easy to spout the mouth from the stands. No, trucks arent the fastest class but,Its a great way to get seat time.If Eldora did run us it would be huge and a bid step for a small division but you go on with your comments eat your popcorn drink your pop and make your comments at the end of the night myself and abunch of other drivers will still be happy racing trucks! Have a nice day

Settle down, scooter. The trucks serve a purpose, and that is low buck entry level racing. While a lot of my friends dont like them due to a lack of speed, I enjoyed watching them, and thought they put on a good show at Waynesfield (love that track, by the way). It doesn't take a NASA engineer to figure out that if the trucks are flat footing it around the bottom at Waynesfield, there is nothing to do but scrape the inside wall all the way around, and grenade motors all night on a big track. No passing at all unless someone gets out of line, since there is no horsepower available to run a longer line and pass on the outside. It's a little something called physics, and some common sense. I really don't mean to sound like a dick about it, but I strongly believe this would be a bad move for the trucks since they will likely make themselves look stupid. They don't have enough horsepower to run a higher line and keep the momentum, which is the entire trick to Eldora. The arca trucks sucked, and likely have 3x the horsepower on an actual purpose built, race chassis. I'm not dogging the trucks, as I said I like them, and feel they have a great purpose....but Eldora isn't it. PS genius, I have run Eldora in the past, and ran reasonably well. If you'd ever run there and understood how the place worked, you'd agree that this class wouldn't cut it there. The big E isn't a place to get "seat time".

Why would you be doing nothing but scraping mud off the "inside wall"?The trucks do run high and there is a lot of passing. But your just some grandstand person that tries to comment about everything. And no, most trucks don't flat foot it. thats why they have brakes. But they do pass. The front row people usually arent the ones that win the race. There was one individual that won the race after starting like 19th. Just leave it up to Eldora to decide. If they do run,if you dont like it, dont come.
First off Good Luck to the Trucks getting a race at Eldora, its about the baddest track anyone can race on. But you better have an amazing sales pitch to get put on the schedule, especially when they are taking the UMP Modifieds off the 4 crown schedule. That class has been a fan favorite for years and they are gone, just that easy!!!
The trucks are a great low budget way to get laps and have fun, but is one race at Eldora worth blowing an engine and spending all that money on another one. Just think how many 360 sprints have went to Eldora with a wet sump oil pump and left with a basket of junk engine parts.
Good luck fella's!!

when were flatt foting the truck at waynes field its usually in 2nd or third gear... we still have two to three more gears depending which one we use and in 2nd gear we can crank the motor to 6500 to 7500 rpm for twenty laps when it goes green to checkers... i mean look at it .... o and we tore down the motor to see what was done to it after that and .... nothing to be real concerned about... these 4 cylinders will take more abuse then you think thay will.
OK man, whatever you say! I hope it all works out for you guy's. Eldora is awesome to race on and I think everyone that wants to should have the chance. Again Good Luck!

In general is sounds as though most of the guys that run the trucks want to give Eldora a try.....and if Myers can make that happen then great!
I guess that they used to think we couldn;t run at Lima also but I think we put on a better show at Lima than we did at WMP. But again.....they both are smaller tracks.
Most of these guys in the trucks are just eager to run at other tracks to ge their exposure. Personally I just think that Eldora wouldn't make a good show from the stands. Beleive me...I kow where all you guys are coming from (Stauffer, Meyers, Sawmiller, Hicks, Harmon) and I support you 100% but from a selling point I just think that ANY 1/2 mile track is the wrong move for this class. The trucks put on one heck of a show on the bullrings.....I still say Montpelier, Indiana would be great!!
I could be wrong...case in point........Noffsinger, Hicks & Sawmiller compared respectibly at Lawrenceburg with cars that run $10,000 mini-stock motors. I think L-Burg is 3/8th mile correct?
I guess you never know until you try. Let me put it this way....if they ran there and I had a truck still.......you bet your a-- that I would give it a spin!
Dan,
last year it was a 1/4 mile but it will be a 3/8 mile this year. We are going to go again this year as long as we keep the truck in one piece. We have already talked about having to put the stock 3.42 gears back in it if we go this year due to the track being 3/8 now. I would hate to see what gear you would have to run if Eldora would let the trucks run. Honestly if the trucks would get to go to Eldora the 18 truck would stay in the garage. I think Bibler has blown 3 engines down there and they were all good engines. He also found out how hard the concrete wall is if you hit it head on and the modifieds are built much safer than the trucks.

I didn't know that, I always thought it was 3/8ths. Yea, you represented the class very well last year. i might make it down to watch this year....we'll just see what's going on that weekend.
I've been watching Dirtmania on Fox Sunday mornings and they just had Bibler's win on last week. Was that from 07' or 06'? I think it was 07' because he was driving a Sherman car.
Yea Dan that was one of the big money shows from last year. Dan if youre going to go down get ahold of us. Its a great time down there and you surely get your fill of racing. I think they had just a little over 700 competitors which includes the go carts, 4 wheeler drags, motorcycle racing, demo, and roll over entries.
