as the only track close runnin on sundays, and with 5 classes tryin to run, i hope an early start time is considered. also, where is everyone going to pit. it got very tight last year for a number of the regular shows. put your normal teams in and add in the ones that will come because its the only track runnin and i see a big problem with finding a place to put everyone. $75 dollars to start a modified feature is a little low. take some off the top and spread it through the field. fuel prices are brutal and the tracks and promotors want to make money, but you gotta help the people puttin on the show.

We will start one (1) hour earlier than the regular Saturday start time.

Running five (5) divisions of cars is to give the racers and fans more bang for their buck! It's Special Promotion, with increased purses. We are working on some things to increase the purse across the board evenly, right down to "start" money!

LM's are getting 10%, 410's are getting 10%, Mod's will get 10%.

I'm working on trying to get you guys some "tow money" for this show!

This is only the beginning! We hope to bring a series of Special Events to WMSP, and a BIG year ending weekend show!

Any other Questions, Comments or Criticism, feel free to call me!

One hour earlier??????? than the regular shows, is this a good idea. ONE o'clock sounds great. If all the stock car races are on sunday, I might be looking for another track. Some people work early the next day.

I agree with tim, Some people gotta work Monday. If we could get a early 1pm start, we'll bring the stock car. It's kinda a bummer for me that you guys want to run stocks on Sunday's. Waynesfield was the only track that I was going to run this year. I didn't want to run Limaland, but Guess I'll have too. <_<

i was wondering where you were gonna pit everyone, but with a 6pm start time on a sunday night, i think there will be plenty of room. kokomo runs on sunday nights and there is never a large number of cars. most of us do this for a hobby and have to work the next day. i agree that this track needs to grow, but trying to grow too fast can be just as bad as not growing at all.

Your doing a great job, at least your actually trying to do something with the track, Not like the owner of Millstream that ain't doing nothing. It's just the schedule of stock cars on Sundays that makes it hard for me to show up. Keep up the great work.

We'll see about May 18th. I'll Have to talk to owner of car to see if they would want to try a Sunday once.

I work 3rd shift and my week starts on sunday night. but I will take a vacation day to be there on may 18th. i would like to an afternoon start time, but I'll take what I can get. Mcutchionsville (I know I didn't spell that one right) used to run a sunday afternoon show at the same time millstream ran on sunday nights. i don't know what that has to do with anything, except i liked going to the track on sunday afternoon.

Are you suggesting starting during the afternoon and having single file rubber bumper car racing? Racing in the sun is never a good idea, go check out a recent story on DirtonDirt.com about it. Fans do not like it, and will not show up for it. Your also running into racing against Nascar, IRL and whatever the big game of the week is on Sunday afternoon. While it might be bad for some, it will be great for others. I am certain Jeff will not keep everyone there all night. I spent every Sunday night at Barren County Speedway (4 hours from my house) and was able to get up the next morning for work (8am.) Sometimes when we got out of there past 10pm it would suck, but for the most part they understood that urgency was needed to complete the show. Jeff's went to bat for the Stock Car Class and is trying to pull of a big show for the class in the future. No one forces you to race. You do it by choice, so Jeff is not burdening you, he is simply giving you another option. Hope to see all of you at WMP this season. I can't wait to see the Stock cars on the highbanks raising hell.

I think racing on sunday is great you will pack the place findlay had no trouble at all but racing in the afternoon is not good it will just rubber up and that's boring racing.I can't wait to see the latemodels there it will be sweet.I can see starting racing earlier but if you started hot laps at 5 you would be ok that's plenty early i think.Well i hope everything go's good and i will be there every sunday to support the track. :)

If a person really wants to race they will be there on a sunday NIGHT. I agree with starting to early makes for a dusty place. But findlay back in the 60,s and 70,s never had trouble with making a good draw. Like i said before racers would beat it from a new breman afternoon show to race at findlay on a sunday night. A lot a guys would travel from a distance to race at findlay. Nothing worth a try but to many class,s on a sunday night would spoil it 3 at the most , but 5 would make for a long show, and not good on the racing surface. One guy who would make the trip would be Ray Kennans. From kokomo ind. Ran at breman , then to findlay ,and back home.

if you dont think running a full program of late models, sprint cars, modifieds, and stock cars is gonna make for a single file rubber bumper car race you've never been to waynesfield. of course it will be bad for some and great for others, everything falls into that catagory. i would bet that the majoruty of people it will cause problems for. i dont think you should thow out the "no on forces you to race" card, thats like sayin "if you dont like it don't come back". maybe instead of trying to add late models, winged sprints and 410 sprints, it would be wise to take care of the classes that run on a weekly basis and not try to be an eldora type track that runs every kind of car there is.

I have to agree take care of the ones that helped to make wmp grow.

The late models are a great addition but I agree with Skip, take care of the guys that helped make Waynesfield what it is. Also heard part of the reason why they werent running stocks was because of them being so heavy and them tearing up the track and making it too rough for the mini-sprints. But as I recall the track was tearing up before we even turned a lap. Not bad mouthing Waynesfield or Cub but some things you just cant help. It is usually going to happen wherever you go. Just my 2 cents. Weasel #52 & 88. www.phlipotracing.com

If it's a tire issue for the stockers. Why not have the stockers be allowed to run the same tires as the mod's? Anothing is cheap on the stockers anymore anyways. Plus I bet you'd get even more showing up starting a new ave. Seems to me your biting a hand that feeds ya jacking the stockers around.
