They had that 2 seater at the track last year, but I don't remember the name. I think your idea is a good one. Last year they did it different, only one or two people rode in it. Does anyone remember? Did they raffle off a ride or something?I've been to a few races before where they have had a two seater sprint car give rides to the fans. I can't remember the guys name that owns the car but l might be able to make a few phone calls and find out. Tell me fans wouldn't line up to buy tickets to strap in and take a few laps with in my opinion one of the greatest drivers in the history of the sport, JACK HEWITT, that is if they would let him drive it. Just an idea. I even race and if I was there that night, I would be the first guy in line to buy a ticket!!!

That was Jack Hewitt, I think it was a raffle. But I think Jack was charging some high bucks to just ride in it. Then I think it was donated to a charity or something. Dallas Hewitt could tell you I'm sure. He had it at Eldora, and other tracks too. They had that 2 seater at the track last year, but I don't remember the name. I think your idea is a good one. Jack did race the 2 seater at Waynesfield one night. He had to pull into the pits on like lap 2 or 3 because his faceshield got dirty and he couldn't pull off any tear-aways since he kinda has use of only one hand due to his racing injuries. And he has also given some rides in it at The Field too. I think that I heard he brought it to the track once last fall on a Sunday just to give a few rides. In his book "Hewitt's Law", he talked about just how much it costs to run some laps in that car and that it is the only car anywhere that has 2 seats with a true 410 aluminum All Star Outlaw type motor. He said that the last time he had the motor freshened it cost him so much $$ that he had to start charging the "high price" he does for rides. It seemed in his book that he felt bad about the price but that is what it costs him to upkeep the car. Now if you know me very well....I'm about as cheap a person you will ever meet. (I do have 6 kids to feed) But if I had the $$ in my pocket and the chance ever pops up, I would love to try it. I usually beg a few different guys every week at Waynesfield to just let me try a few laps in their 360 sprint and one of these days it will happen. But me taking a few 1/2 throttle fun laps won't ever compare to sitting behind one of the worlds best drivers at speed. I just hope I remember to give my camera up so somebody gets a photo of my face when I take off that helmit.

Kenny i think Jack could drive better with one hand than some could with two. I remember some one saying he drove it. But that was a night i wasnt there.
Wmp needs to do some more things like tonight with the Napa auto parts night. They proably got some dicounted tickets. But it still helped to bring people in.
