I am just wondering why there seems to be little interest in anyone wanting to buy this truck? Is it the price, economy, or does everyone think that the motor is just that jacked up? I guess the good thing about it is that we might have to run it for the first couple of races until the car is completed. It just surprises me with the way she runs it up front that there isn't much interest in some else wanting that truck for their own. Thanks for any info.

The biggest blame will probably go to the ecomomy. I also want to tell you that just a few years ago guys bought and sold these racetrucks for under $1500 race ready. Now I know without any doubt NOBODY can take an old stock truck off the street and put $1000 in it and be competitive with your truck. But that is something I didn't know when I started racing. Then I thought I could buy an old beater for $150, add a roll cage and learn to drive well enough to win a stockcar race. I'm sure there are still some guys in the stands each week that think they can build their own for a few hundred bucks and be competitive. Now you and I know it can't be done but if an uneducated fan sees the price it will sound high. The news says every night that people are now saving more and spending less. We all hope the economy turns around quickly. You have a top shelf truck but times aren't good. It will sell for a fair price but you have to wait until you find the right combination (like a guy with a stable job that also knows something about racing.) I hope you sell it soon. We have never gotten all of the trucks that are built to the races on the same night. I bet that would add up to 50+ trucks. Maybe when times get better, we can get them all to the track. I would hate to see a truck as good as yours parked because people can't afford to have fun.

You are so right Kenny , But I believe that Fun is pretty LOW on the TO DO list with this economy , unfortunatly for all of us :(
I am sure the truck will sell , Hell I would buy it if I wasn't losing my job to mexico in about 30 more days. I ran street stocks in the 80's in Fremont/Attica , best time of my life! B)

I would have bought your truck as well since I am now building my own. I watched you run your truck last year and watched the guys who raced against you, hit you push you and try and take you out of the race because you kept winning. I think anyone who watched your races in this last year would wonder if you have any stress cracks in the frame. You took an unusual amount of beatings. Plus in this economy you will not get the price you want. You may want to exspand your advertising to across the country where people are still spending that kind of money and have no clue what your truck went through in the last year. No one who races in Waynesfield will buy your truck. To much controversy over if your truck will meet new rules. I think you are a good driver though. Do you thing your truck will meet up with the new rules? I agree with the new rules because this makes the race of driving tallent only. try advertising your truck in areas that are not having as much of a lay-off problem. I have talked to several guys that race there and alot of them cannot afford to race this year do to not having a job or just starting a lower paying job to have a job. I have read some of the race track forums and they state that their tracks are at a all time high for drivers not racing in the begining of this race year. Some drivers we know state that alot of the tracks south of us are closing due to economy. we will be lucky if waynesfeild doesn't follow suit. you may want to hold on to your truck for awhile, to get a better price at least till the economy picks up and maybe someone may get an income tax return and buy it. another note you may want to run it instead of your car for cost reasons, cheaper.

I dont think it has any thing to do with this truck meeting the rules or it has taken to many hits. This is nothing more than a top of the line truck. The economy is why it is proably not selling. People are hanging on to every little dime they have in their pockets. If you want to buy a rolls royce this is it. I think you are gonna see a lot more race cars up for sell this yr or some just sitting because of the way the economy is with some not knowing if they will have a job or not. Proably a lot have already lost their jobs. im in the business of the wholesale food industry and we are feeling the effects of things being tight. We have lost 6 workers in the last 1 1/2 yrs. I think every one of us when we wake up and go to work that we dont know if we will be working next week or not. Good luck to all not with racing but just hope your able to hang on to what you have.

Thanks for the good comments about this truck. I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking this is a good bang for the buck. We would just like to pass this truck on to someone that would take the care like we have. Grant it, like most of the rest, it's been tagged here and there but no more then cosmetic. We're just trying to get some moneys to help out with the car expenses. Other wise we hate to get rid of it knowing how much time and care Scott put into it. Again, thank you guys for the good comments. --DJ ;)

just my two cents.... truck is a really good truck and you can see it is well taken care of,... but hear say was the truck come race ready, but with no carb because it was borrowed, so in all technicallity (if thats even spelled right), it's not race ready and for the best carb we are allowed to run your looking at about 260 -$300, now i understand that you don't need the best of the best to get started but if that truck is going to run the same as it has been then it needs that carb, because everyone knows you just cant go buy a holley put it on and expect it to run the same as it did before with a different carb... you have to adjust it and tune it and some people may not know how to..... just sayin. but thats hear say.... maybe you can clarify the rumors about that other than that it's probably more of the economy taking a toll on everyone. If you guys don't sell it I'll be looking forward to a few more races with you guys! see ya soon!

I am currently working on a truck for myself, It is a learning thing for me and my sons. They are having a great time taking apart the truck and I enjoy spending the time with them. I do this so that I can have an experence with my kids befor they grow up and move out of my house. First race or last race you will know which truck is mine it will stand out of the pack and i will be the only driver there just to have fun. But wouldn't it be a hoot if a woman whose pit crew is kids from the age 12 to 17 that dont know much about raceing. we have had some experence with the first truck that was made for someone and now letting other guys that want to get envolved and help build it. I have a couple guys i know that give me hints they use in the pro racing circuit. and yes they have seen the rules and know how to work around them to give me a truck that got power and balance. I took several videos of alot of the races at Waynesfield and i watch them to see just how everyone races and have a game plan on how to work around everyones faults. If I can drive an 18 wheeler i can certainly drive a small race truck.  I am not going to make the first few races i have not completed the truck and i am going on vacation. You could let me try your car!! lol

good luck with ur truck, but if u dont know that much then why u bashing on the 26 truck? i have been watching racing for 35 yrs now never built a race car but since ive been watching doesnt meen i know it all. trust me there are tricks that u cant see from the stands.this doent meen i could build a mini like horstmans or a stock car like babcocks or a sprint like allisons or a modified like henrys. and if i could it still takes a good driver with experience to make it run like thier cars. jmo im sure people have tried and failed. but i wish good luck for all that try this sport. Im just a fan of the screamin zero race team

First of all Kenny and Skip hit the nail on the head. The 26 truck is the best of the best as far as equipment goes. The problem in selling it is the current economy not the truck! I too would buy it if I had the money......I love it when the Chevy's do well! As for the other person on here let me tell you one thing about racing.....there are no videos, not enough time in the stands, not enough people telling you how to set up a truck or enough toys to buy for your truck that will make you be prepared to sit in that seat for the first time or even first year. My wife used to drive 18 wheelers and the first time she drove my truck in a powder puff race she put the truck in the corn field! I admire that you have your family involved and that's what you need to enjoy it! The best thing you could do is enjoy this season as seat time and I'm sure that you'll be building a better truck or improving your after this season as you learn. Aaron Meyers.......maybe they have another reason for keeping the carb...like maybe they borrowed it from someone else...who knows. Listen...the carbs aren't as big of a deal as people are making them out to be now that they've limited the valve sizes. keep in mind and engine is like a big vacuum pump.....air cames in and air goes out. You can bring in as much air as you want but if you can't process it through the remainder of the engine then it's a fruitless cause. The bigger 500 CFM carbs are no longer going to be as big of a deal as they once were. The 350's as the rules state will work just fine. PS a good 350 cfm Willy's will bang your piggy bank for around 400 large.

WELL SAID DAN ,WHAT PEOPLE DONT REALIZE IS THE SETUPS THAT COME WITH A PROVEN VEHICLE ARE WORTH MORE THAN THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE, BUT THAT IS WHAT IS REALIZED ON THE FIRST CORNER OF THE FIRST LAP WITH AN UNPROVEN VEHICLE. YOU CAN ONLY HOPE YOUR NOT BEHIND THEM WHEN THEY REALIZE THIS ,IM SURE YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

like you said it'll cost an extra 400 large after you buy the truck who has that to spend on what is supposed to be a cheap class... when you can spend less build one yourself and learn a lot by turning a wrench and learning how to set up the truck... be sides people are different... what one person may like behind the wheel isn't the same as the next guy... they have a great combination is what i'm saying good driver good truck good set up= win. i wasn't bashing it by no means at all i just stated rumor heard it didn't have a carb and gave a possible outlook if there was any truth to it... i apologize if it came off wrong to anyone.

Hey, Hi Dan and Aaron. Good to see you on here. You're right, Dan. We borrowed the carb. That's why it can't go with the truck. You both have a lot of good points. Goodness, I don't even get to the pits, but I hear all the shop talk about setting the truck up. Watched guys want to pull their hair out trying to figure that out sometimes. It sure isn't as easy as it looks. Good luck to anyone who is starting out for the first time. Guess my best advice would be to take your time at first and realize that new drivers have a lot to learn. Thanks, guys, for all the good comments on the 26.

Very good idea wire banger. If that was an interest to a buyer im sure i could personally talk to the owner of the carb and see if that was a possible negotiation. Jessica Nuss Truck 26
