Skip, I noticed you were mentioning me in the forum, on the first page of this topic. The only time that I delete a topic is when there is swearing or you folks are REALLY bashing someone or a track. I'm just following the rules and I most always check with Racestud to see if it's justified. I didn't delete you personally, I deleted a topic that was getting totally out of hand. Sometimes things straighten out on their own, and when they don't I delete them. Nothing's better than a real discussion and I think you will agree on that.

Dirtfan20. I wasn't pointing out any car. Just named three that seem to be the officials favorites. Funny that you jumped there, obvioussly you have witnessed it in the past. If anyone thinks that Lima doen't play fovorites, maybe they need to get a clue. (i.e. Dirtfan20)

It seems like the same handful of people get on here and bash the drivers, the track, the guy who preps the track, the person who sells hot dogs or what ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yet they still come back every week to post another negative comment or give their negative feedback. I got a suggestion.......this week STAY HOME. YOU WONT BE MISSED.

so true kenny the cream does rise to the top, the thing is when you get to the top you either stay there for awhile or you fall. it's tough in all the classes to stay on top because you have the veteran drivers who always are tough and a rookie or two that steps there game up. it's good to see new drivers competing for wins but just remember the guys that are winning now were once the field fillers they have payed there dues to get to where they are!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just one question: If that was a USAC or World of Outlaw race would they have ran that race. The drivers that show up every weekend spend a great deal of money and if the track isn't ready than don't race. No other tracks seem to have this problem. I agree the track is usually good and I guess we will see this week if they fixed the problem. As far as good drivers always rising to the top: I agree but they don't need help from the owners and track personel. It's just funny that this is the only track we talk about this at. I don't care who wins, I don't have a favorite driver, I just want to see good, fair racing, and I didn't get either on Friday. Also wrench1 aka lonny. If you don't like the posting then don't read it. Everybody is entitled to thier opinion thats what this forum is for.

you didnt hear the big story from eldoras king royal last year lets refresh ur memory steve kinser loaded up his car and was going to leave the track because of the favoritsm shown towards donny shatz when shatz was allowed to return to the track for someone getting in his way on a qualifying lap when that never actually happened all it was was donny wanted another crack at it because he was horrible when he qualified the first time.

i've seen usac run on very rough tracks at eldora, lawrenceburg, and fremont during there old speedweek where cars were flipping during time trials. as far as track favorites go to a fremont web site and you will see how they feel ivy, reed, linder and harrison are favorites. and yes shady bucks that is so true !!!!!!!!

Its just funny that those who say they wont be back sure seem to keep showing up to argue their points. I saw on another site where some said every time they have been to LMP its been rough and dusty Now any of us who have been there since Gene took over know better. Have you ever seen any of the tracks around here where you see 3 and 4 wide racing. Like i said eldora has just as much dust, Then like i said before The one usac show they told every driver on their radio, be carefull its a plowed cornfield out there. Its funny that wilson has called LMP his home track. Funny how some want to knock UNOH but just look at how many other tracks that UNOH does some backing for of their races. I think every one that you are calling LMP favorit sons didnt show up every week , the other drivers wouldnt have any one to try and beat . If i was a driver there i think i would want to take a dusting to Allison Hull Sherman and Anderson , To show up at lima and stomp one of these guys i think i could walk out of there at night and i would have to buy a bigger hat.

i guess some of us forget before gene got here the track was like that about every three weeks. when you have to have rigs pulled in and out of the pits from being stuck that tells you the grounds were still wet. here's hoping on a better track this week !!!!!!!!!

I was at Gas City on Friday and on the way down saw all of the water standing in the fields around Fort Wayne. Normally that weather goes through Lima too. It appears the track crew just got caught with the track opened up when it dumped rain, it happens. Once it does there isn't much you can do to save it. I've known Gene for a long time and I'm sure that nobody felt worse about it than he did. Gene's one of the guys that really takes this stuff to heart, good and bad, and nobody is perfect. It would be one thing if it was like that week in and week out, but I've noticed in my few visits the track is much better with Gene doing the prep work. Is it worth grumbling about a little, absolutely. Is it worth stringing someone for it when they normally do a good job every week? Not really...IMHO.
