yea, its just one of those things to where i dont know alot but wanna soak everything up i can. i understand the major stuff and some of the different setups and know how to see the difference in the track as the night goes on but by far am i great at it so i just think that for a first year car try alot of different things find the best way and go from there... im glad it is nothing like sprint cars or a class that u can go a lot of places right now because im just learning. i can learn from one track and understand the way the car is suppose to be then build better on that . you gotta start somewhere! just sucks it might have to start in my pocket!

It's hard to tell what works and what doesn't if you don't have the motor to run with the pack. #23Posted 01 October 2009 - 12:56 PM
true i do need somethin fast. do get me wrong im gonna dowhat i can but thats y im trying to get somthin thats already built so i can put most of my money in the motor and trans. at limaland i dont understand the shock rule it says in stock location "i think" so there for i can get racing shocks? but can i get adjustable ones or a quick change set?

Shocks haven't been in stock locations for a decade or more. Racing shocks, I think steel only. Not sure what a "quick change" set is, most run the pro WB series, or the steel afcos. #25Posted 01 October 2009 - 01:04 PM
alright thanks...quick change ...not sure on some of the brand names.. but setup to where u can put in different weight springs...nascar use the little buchings inside of the spring but different dirt motorsports in california and im sure else where change the different spring weights. one spring thicker. which wud mean more stiffer...or a skinnier spring which would mean less stiff

Shocks and springs are 2 different parts. Most coil springs can be changed quick and easily. #28 Guest_Mike0743_*Posted 01 October 2009 - 07:09 PM
You can adjust gas pressure on certain shocks but none that would be legal on a stock. Reply to this topic3 user(s) are reading this topic0 members, 3 guests, 0 anonymous users |
