Just curious....who all is going to have trucks this season. I know the 81 team was building a new one and I heard that the Philpot's were building one. I know the Conover boys were building one for someone and we are adding one truck to our team. I know that Brad Webb sold his truck to someone (the yellow #27. Anyone know of any other new ones or returnee's?

We might bring ours out a couple of times if I can get the truck owner to stop breaking bones. LOL Terry fell and broke a leg a couple of weeks ago and has been having some complications but so far so good we should be there this week. Roger

Another guy from town is building one also. He is hoping to have it ready in a couple of weeks. I sold a ranger to a guy that was going to build one, but I dont know how far he got on it. Hey Dan, If your truck runs as good as it looks we are all going to be in trouble this year.

Sorry to hear that Roger....I hope he recovers just fine. Thanks Derrick for the compliment, but we really didn't do much to the truck other than cosmetic items. We lost our engine from last year...#4 cylinder wall was scarred too bad because of a rod letting go. We put the 2.5 liter that we had at the beginning of the year back in.......Not sure what it will be like though. We did find out that our set-up was in left field at the end of the year though, so we made some improvements there (we hope). Other than that, we should be just like we were at the beginning of last season. We'll probably go to practice just to try different things on set-up. I'm really not too confident that there will be too many more trucks there this year. I think some of the people from ladt season won't be back and then you have some new trucks so I think it will just balance out. I hope I'm wrong....I hope we have a bunch of trucks. If I don't see you guys at practice then I'll see you next week. Good Luck this season!!

We'll be there, if the weather cooperates.
I know of at least 3 other trucks (unmentioned above), in various stages of new construction.
SHEESH!!!.. sounds like we maybe should have got the truck off the trailer this winter, and not just played dead, getting fat & lazier. LOL.
Good Luck to all this season.

We will have both trucks there this weekend. Hey Dan, When did your rod let loose? The way that engine was running at the end of last year I would have never guessed that you had a problem.

Actually I think we had a problem the last night becuase the truck wouldn't start up after the race. We did a leak down test over the winter and found #4 cylinder to be a little less than the others but we thought we would be alright. When we managed to get it running again a couple of weeks ago the engine just shut off...locked up. We tore it apart and found the #4 rod bolts stripped and one of the bolts wedged itself and scarred the cylinder wall too bad to repair. So we're just going to go back to what we had in the beginning of the year. Did you guys do anything special to yours this winter? Nevermind telling me here....just tall to me at the track Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Yea right Wildwon! Play dead.......NOT
Skip, you are correct. This class is really awesome and I love it. It sounds as though Greg is going to keep the class in order also. He changed the reading of the Engine rule to read "stock"......last year it read "stock appearing". We'll see how things go this season. I just want it to remain a "fun" class and not get cut-throat like some of the other classes get sometimes, but as we all know that is sometimes unavoidable in racing.
