Have any of you saw racing before Ive been taken out (2 times in a single race by the same guy) and I got over it. I bet if you ask the racers they get over it to. They cycle drivers in and out for a few weeks each. And the picture yeah the 7b clearly looks close to hitting him in the bumper almost looks like he is going to attempt a clean pass but who knows. I dont know what driver it was but could have been, the team got over that real quick though knowing that the drivers were ok thats what it all comes down to. Yes drivers take revenge but not to often honestly that Ive witnessed at the track. Ive been racing for 15 years and have been taken out my share of times and got over it. It's part of racing everybody has done it and if you find somebody that says they have never taken somebody out they are lieing, even if its not intentional they have.

Maybe the student backed off??? Go ask the guy who was behind him who had to check up and the 3rd place car had to check up to and ended up spinning out
http://limaland.com/...99&gallerynum=0

hmmm 4th turn last lap 7b not even close to the left rear

It was nose to tail coming off the bottom of #4. This pic is no where close to what happened, or even the right one. The unoh driver maybe did check up who knows, but if it was the last lap last corner i think i would of made a move to either side to get by, not right on his tail. Makes you wonder because this is the same driver that got into the student and ended up on top. like the one person said. Maybe it was just a racing deal who knows. The main thing is like some one said, there are guys who have run for years that some times get out of control. Get over it Ive seen many a veterans making bone head out of control moves. I saw a veteran sprintcar driver take out 2 team cars last week. Now that was some thing that would stick with some one BUT THEY GOT OVER IT!!!!!!.

Sure, most teams do get over it. But how bout the teams that are low buck trying to have fun without spending tons of money? Not everyone has deep enough pockets to reach in and buy a new car. Some of these guys are out there on a low budget, and they are the ones that are in it to have fun. If they have to sit out a few weeks to gather up money to repair the car, that isnt any fun. Especially when you know that the car that did it can just easily repair the car off of UNOH's money, tools, and work area. Theres a point where you back off and settle for your spot. Some drivers just dont understand that sometimes they arent even battling for more money. If your near the back, i believe that the payout is usually the same.

Unoh has had a good crop of drivers since they have started their program. Its not a matter of of who has money or who doesnt. Its called racing and stuff does happen. Yes some can afford to throw a new car out every week and some dont. Its called save your money during the off season so you will be ready for problems. This might be the first yr they have changed drivers evey couple of weeks i think. If you were a kid at Unoh you would proably be waiting on your turn. I would have to say that the teachers in charge of these kids are on top of their actions. Good luck to all friday, and stay away rain.

I wont sit here and say I know how the UNOH program works but I have sat with some very excited students in the stands when the UNOH cars do well. I have spoke with a few of them. ( the one's that "acted civil") They tell me that they do switch drivers to try and give the other students an opportunity to show off their skills. Apparently, there is a long line of kids eager to jump into one of their cars. I dont blame them, I would be too! The reason I posted is the one student told me that each team has a budget and they have to work within that budget. He did say that their budget isn't that bed but wasn't sure what it was. He said they save money due to all the equipment the school has and that he didn't think the budget was as big as some people would think, if it was he said the coaches wouldn't be such tight a$$es.. hahaha Sorry coaches (whoever you are) just going off his words.. Anyways, I know that there isn't a race loving person in the world that wouldn't jump at an opportunity to drive a race car... Especially, in a program as good as UNOH has. If any of you say different, well.... we all know better..Stop being jealous... I am!!! LOL Have a great day and do the anti-rain dance!!

from what i understand there are 30 team members and everybody that want's will get a turn driving in 2 week rotations..... a couple of guys have experience in the school cars from previous years.....some have outside experience in other cars...many have no experience ...... there is no practice during the week because many racers complained in the past that it was an unfair advantage, so they stopped it......they do have a budget for all the teams and my guess the modifieds get the largest part..... the #1 car and #01 thunderstocks are newer than the older #2 and seem to be a little better cars the one advantage is they have 10 guys on each car and they all put in 16-20 hours during the week doing prep in a well supplied facility

Alot of you know exactly where I live at. I do hear cars on the track during the weekdays every now and then and I have seen a UNO hauler go past my house during the week. I am sure they are NOT at the track practicing daily. I'm not at home all day everyday but I don't think they are on the track every week. But I have heard cars there once or twice this year.

I don't care where you live.

I repeat THEY HAVE NEVER PRACTICED, OR TESTED DURING RACING SEASON!

The track is used by the High Performance Steering and Suspension classes, using training aids from the class to TEACH the students.

I think that bringing 2 half a million dollar rig's to the track really rubs your local guys the wrong way who have supported the track longer than these kids are old. From the talk in the pits it leaves a bad taste in alot of guys mouth & I hope that they are donating all the winnings to a charity seeing how I am sure there program is a tax write off.
