This Saturday June 26th is the rescheduled fan appreciation night at Montpelier Motor Speedway. Grandstand admission will be just $5 for ages 13 and up, 12 and under are free with a paying adult as usual. UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks (UMP/Lima & Eldora Cars legal), Thundercars, and Mod-lites will be on the schedule for the evening. Gates open at 4, Hotlaps at 6, and racing at 7.
No racing at Eldora so let's see if we can get some of these stock cars to come to Montpelier. I don't want to see this class be in jeopardy of being dropped next year.

Todd Sherman wins his 2nd feature of the season in the modifieds over a field of 24 cars. A growing number of Street Stocks were there with 14 in the pits tonight. Nice to see a few regulars from Gas City, Kokomo, Lima, and Eldora. Tony Anderson took the win. Jason Shrout won his first career feature at Montpelier in the Thundercars. Kenny Gross won the Mod-lite feature. Pretty good crowd on fan appreciation night. The track was very smooth but did go dry slick during the modified feature. I think they played it safe with the water truck considering how much rain we have had lately, including a shower this morning. Good show as usual.
