Here's another conspiracy theory I'll throw out to you guys: They take a break, water the track, and the two college cars start up front and nobody touches them in the feature. A conspiracy theorist could say that the college teams have more knowledge of what the track prep guys are gonna do before features, thus having time to make adjustments, while the regular joe guys have to guess.
On a positive note: Last night's sprint feature was one of the BEST sprint car features I've seen in my 40+ years of coming to the track.
Everyone have a good weekend.
#43Posted 30 July 2011 - 11:15 PM No conspiracy the college kids have more track time than the regulars. I live 1 mile from the track and hear cars during the week on the track. Not every week just random times through out the season. Edited by DirtDodger, 30 July 2011 - 11:16 PM.

Dirtdodger......I have told you before that the ONLY time the students have run any laps other than on race night is during tryouts in April! Are you calling me a liar? The High Performance suspension and steering class came out last Monday for the first time this year. The two drivers are the instructors in the class and are driving the old NAMARS trucks and a couple of antique mods that have engines with 300 less horspower than what is in the teams mods. And believe me...o wait you insinuate that I am a liar...the track is dryer than almost any daytime race lap I ever ran at Eldora or Terre Haute. Man a guy can sure learn something on conditions like that that would do some good on Friday night....NOT!

Streihawk8 i was also told by a reliable source thats who was out there the instructors. Even if to say it was the kids ( And it wasnt) most of the stocks that run Lima run at eldora, waynesfield and other places they are getting to run twice a week. The students only run once a week. So who has a unfair advantage.
Mike you know its the same ones who want to complain about things just because they want to. Im surprised they dont complain about the hotdogs or their seat in the granstand is to hard.
Maybe the next time he hears the motors he should stop out and stick his nose in and say hi to you.

Unsure why, but college cars go to Eldora, and Waynesfield is closer and they work with when Eldora is running stocks. Family Fun Night at Eldora is coming up, and Waynesfield took stocks off the schedule so we could run there. So why cant the college cars run Saturdays at Waynesfield?

Did you ever think that maybe some are getting their butts spanked and are going some where that they might have a chance to win. And use any kind of excuse they can think of as to why they dont run at lima. Favoritism when you have some who show up every week run clean and are good sportsmen , Yes doesnt matter what track it is some are track favorits and fan favorits. Sounds like that is pointed at me skip, I don't care. Most of the top lima cars I race with weekly, so what's your point? Excuses? The students are welcome to buy their own cars if they want to race more than once a week. #49Posted 31 July 2011 - 05:07 AM
Dont go there tim im not finger pointing at any one , i was talking in general and to drspeedy he knows me very well we talk a lot. I have no beef with any one. Every one has a right to choose where they race. It could be one of the best nights of racing any where but there is always proably gonna be one who goes home over a bad call or got their feelings hurt. Every racer races better at one track than they do another. But it just seems like this constant bashing of lima. There are problems at every track. remember the night Steve Kinser was gonna load up over time trials and he felt Donny S was treated different. Earl chased ferkle out of eldora one night with a ball bat. I look at pitgate all the time and there is always some bashing some thing. Doesnt matter what track it is some one will complain. I will stand up for Lima because going there since 1962 sorry but its my favorit track. Yes there are some things i dont agree with but some times you have to take the good with the bad. Look at all the bashing i have taken from some on here. been called names and made fun of. Sorry if you took it the wrong way wasnt pointing fingers. I just think that some who dont race are missing out on some good purses, special races, and point funds.

no, the best part is this...last week we get our heats cut cause the track was wet and our cars tear up the track. yet this week they flood it only to send us out on slime. they are right our cars tear up the track so bad that "one of the best sprint races ever" was ran after our a main. really?
#51Posted 31 July 2011 - 10:14 PM Get a life really, are you that insecure you dont like being called a liar. RELAX Im just saying track time is track time no matter what they are driving, and testing. If it makes you feel any better im sorry i insinuated that you where a liar, you freakin cry baby.

No but i think every one is getting tired of your trash talking and bashing. If you knew who streihawk8 was he is not a cry baby. he knows more about racing than you do in your little freaking toe. people like you are a dime a dozen know it all grandstanders. If you want to trash talk take it to the ones who you say are practicing at the track and state your problem. Your the one that is a cry baby lima this lima that, grow up guy your comments are not worth a crap from some one in the stands. #53Posted 01 August 2011 - 02:00 AM
I am not the insecure one, you are always the one crying that the students are getting extra track time....THEY DO NOT RUN ANY TIME BUT ON RACE NIGHT! If you think they are why don't you come over and prove me wrong when you here the cars running during the week. O by the way we are bringing in over a hundred highschool instructors this Wednesday.to particpate in our driving expierience. come on out and make sure that the kids are not running. You can be the official referee of track time for Limaland Motorsports park. If you come out from hiding behind your a&% I will give you a ride around in our 2 seater truck. We will see whose crying then.
#54Posted 01 August 2011 - 02:07 AM Agreed with the one of the best sprintraces I have ever seen! O and I think the 2nd place car started like in 6th or 8 th and drove by most of the heroes to get there. And if you really are a fan of Ken Schraders you would not believe in conspiracies. No matter how the track is everyone has to race on the same thing. I have been trying to figure away to get Gene to tell me what was gonna happen with the track for over twenty years. Seems like Mother Nature still holds the key! #55Posted 01 August 2011 - 03:04 AM
Thats a very good idea, maybe if he shows up he can give gene a few tips on track prep. That and maybe a few more of them that have all the info on racing can add their ideas on every thing. Sounds like its a show up or shut up. I bet you would like to give some of them a ride of their life. Edited by skip, 01 August 2011 - 03:07 AM.

Im not crying or hiding...but Ill take a two seater ride for giggles hahahaha #58Posted 01 August 2011 - 10:20 AM Its all making sense to me now, your on the payroll, or you go to school there. Something was throwing me off. If your talking about the 2 seater they run the track in on fridays with sorry to disapoint you, but that couldnt even get out of its own way or throw dirt into turn 1 where i sit. Ill stick to what i drive for fun. By the way how do you delete your account on here.

Yes, the sprint feature was really good. I absolutely LOVE Kenny Schrader, and what he represents in the sport. IMO, all in all Lima does a good job. I was just throwing the theory out there to see what would happen. Obviously it got everyone worked up.
It is changing a bit though. I used to be excited to see a college car win a heat or feature. Now with 5 of the 8 cars in a heat race (exaggerating) coming from UNOH it makes it more difficult to pull for one of them. Maybe they don't get more track time. Maybe they don't get any advantage at the track. They DO however have anything and everything you want or need to build/repair a racecar at their disposal, with non of the bills that go along with it. Not hating on them, just stating the facts. As much as I piss and moan though, I'll still be there Friday night, and probably as many Friday nights as I can. Four hours a week in the sun with dirt in my beer, talking to my dad is priceless.
