Something that is not clear is why Colton Flinner was disqualified in the first place by : FASTRAK ? Regardless why (although I am curious what the 'ACTUAL' , DQ prompting action was?? HE was DisQualified from the race, not the car. So these events show; -unsportsmanlike conduct @ a  FASTRAK touring race is not tolerated!! -a re qualification of the car is allowed, if using an alternate driver! -that driver represents the points of the disqualified car! WOW, The actions by  FASTRAK : say loud and clear ... that you can be disqualified as a driver, but the car is not. So throw hands if you feel necessary, FASTRAK  has a workaround in place! Get to the doctor ,quick, FASTRAK  , you got three black eyes!   --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B) The PPMS staff wanting to add another provisional, due to the ridiculous goings on, is a telling sign they are TRULY RACERS AT HEART! B) I am trully impressed with their actions!!!!

i think it was because a crew guy went to another car and said something.....

Mr. Buttbreak, Why Colton was disqualified should not concern you unless you were in the pits and an actual part of the race or series. All anyone needs to concern themselves with is simply knowing he was disqualified. FASTRAK does not tolerate unsportsmanlike conduct What a track chooses to do with their provisionals is their choice The Driver who did the driving of the dq'd car gets the points if he is a registered FASTRAK driver at least this is how I interpret the rules. However, the track chooses to award points in their weekly series is their choice. I'm really not seeing your ASSumed three black eyes on FASTRAK's Touring Series

Glad someone noticed how good the racing was. Several cars had great runs from the back. The Pro Lates are a great fit at PPMS. the guys with the best setup at feature time get to the front! It's fun to watch!

The next Sizzler at PPMS the crates get to challenge the 358 Steel Block Bandits for $1500 to win! Should be interesting as the SBB rules allow some breaks for the crate motored cars.

A.) The total weight of the car with the driver at the end of each time trial, heat, B- Mains and A-Main will be:
1.) A minimum of 2,250 lbs as weighed on the track scales for a car with a 604 or 602 GM Crate Motor
2.) A minimum of 2,350 lbs as weighed on the track scales for a car with a 358 cubic inch (+1.8%) or less
a.) (Aluminum Heads – YOU MUST run 50lb’s of weight on or in front of the mid-plate. However, your overall weight is 2,350..)
3.) The weight on or in front of the mid-plate will be weighed within the pre race inspections and tagged/marked. Post race inspections may require this weight to be weighed again.
* The mounting system that is used to secure the added weight in Rule/s 12.10.A.2.a & 12.10.A.3.a & 12.2.H & I to the car will only be considered part of the weight if it is a standalone mount and weight unit.
B.) Cars must be weighed at the end of each event without adding additional components. Example – Fuel, oil, water, body panels, etc...

This will be my last reply about this because it's Tuesday...and I'm moving on to next Saturday, but I just wanted to say thanks to Matt for trying to add a provisional spot, I respect that. I also respect Fastrak's decision to not allow it. I know it can't just be a free for all but I appreciate the gesture. I also see that as a sign that they feel something wasn't handled correctly, but that's neither here nor there. Thanks Matt. I also wanted to thank Stan Lester, Mike Leone and even Brad Hibbard for contacting me about both the provisional and spoiler situations. The provisional thing was just a series of loop holes that Fastrak policies don't really cover, but I'm sure policies will be put in place to govern them in the future. The spoiler rule I'll have to agree to disagree because I still feel that the way the rules are worded, a standard rocket spoiler is legal. But I guess lesson learned, and we'll try again this weekend.

I think that was due to the fact that he was not the driver who ran the heat race... I think that is how they "justified" it lol

ok i was jw bc i saw that they still credited him with 4th place points in heat so i figured davey should just tag the feature when they switched and therefore justin woulda ended up with the provisional

With 5700+ views, I think a explanation of the chain of events ,and the logic used for the decision making by Fastrak is in order. I've never seen anything like this go on, especially with a series. Something don't add up here.
