The summer may be winding down but the racing action at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway continues to heat up and this Saturday, August 11th, we are proud to present a five division Action Event featuring the Super Late Models, Pro-Lates, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby Stocks and Young Guns. In addition, Colussy Chevrolet is sponsoring the evening's racing action which also includes another exciting installment of Wacky Wheels Figure Eight Mania. The evening's off track action will include the first ever PPMS "Collectibles Night" in which race fans can display their unique collections of beer cans, road maps, racing die casts and whatever else they may collect.

"Colussy Chevrolet has been a loyal supporter here at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway and we are proud to welcome them back again this year," commented Speedway Owner Matt Miley. "We look forward to providing the Colussy staff and their families with another exciting and entertaining night of racing action."

In addition to the five weekly division this Saturday's action will feature the fourth installment of Wacky Wheels Figure Eight Mania. Andrew Loria scored a very popular win in July and will seek to make it "two in a row" this weekend. If you are looking to get started in racing then Wacky Wheels is definitely something you need to consider as each event pays $150.00 to win and $25.00 to start!! Simply visit the PPMS website, www.ppms.com, to view the rules and start building your Wacky Wheels car!!

Race fans will also have the opportunity to display their collections of unique items as Colussy Chevrolet and Miley Motorsports are presenting the first ever PPMS Collectibles Night. Fans interested in displaying their wares need to contact Matt Miley via e-mail at ppms@ppms.com to reserve a spot for Saturday. Prizes will be awarded and you never know who else in attendance may be looking to buy, sell or trade for those unique collectible items.

Last Saturday's racing action found veteran Steve Baker scoring his first win of the 2012 season. The "West Virginia Rim Rider" parked his experimental 2012 Rocket Chassis in favor of a more reliable older model and that proved to be the trick he needed to return to Victory Lane.

Second generation racer Colton Flinner also switched cars last Saturday. His CFR owned Rocket Chassis suffered motor woes and fellow competitor Ron Hall was still recovering from an accident on July 30th. The two combined forces as Flinner replaced Hall's familiar "01" with his "75" and just like Baker was able to return to victory lane for the first time in 2012.

Pit and Grandstand Admission gates will open at 5:00 with the first green flag waving promptly at 7:00PM.

Adult Grandstand Admission for this week's racing action is $13.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $12.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $9.00.

Admission for Children aged Six through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Six will be admitted Free. In addition, all children aged Six through 12 will receive a free gift when they present their admission ticket at the PPMS Gift Shop, which now features Apparel by Denise.

Pit Admission for this week's racing action is $25.00.

In 2012, the management of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will utilize a Sunday evening rain date in the event Mother Nature fails to cooperate with the Saturday night racing action. Times for the Sunday rain dates are as follows: Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates open at 4:00PM, Hot Laps at 5:00PM and Racing at 6:00PM.

Fans are also invited to bring their own refreshments however; glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller in size. Don't forget that the Checkered Flag Food Court has a great variety of delicious food like hot and juicy quarter pound cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, curly fries, fruit salad and cotton candy at "fan friendly prices."

Race fans over the age of 21 can purchase alcoholic beverages at Ed's Pub, which is located under the main grandstand. Ed's features all major brands of beer plus wine, mixed drinks, and energy drinks at local tavern type pricing! In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller.
