To the travelers who were worried about renting Transponders- I spoke with Matt and he said even if they run out you can borrow/rent from other competitors, namely stocks and young guns. Since the Sportsman are running first I dont see this being an issue. Thanks.

Sure would like to see the Chris Schneider 55 make the short tow for the loot! I know some negative things happened at PPMS over the years to him, but it's time to move on. I didn't punch him and I didn't bolt his carb on, (we did take action on the incident) I have reached out to him as I believe he is a good person and positive force for the Sportsman division. Heard S & S contributed to the race, thank you. We have added the Racing Ministry as part of the PPMS program as an outlet for all of us to deal with what life deals us.

The Ed Laboon 17 is an opportunity to have a great annual event at PPMS, sad we had to lose Ed to bring it about. We welcome all who wish to attend. It is my plan to personally oversee that every Sportsman team that attends will be treated fairly and with respect, it's a goal for every division at PPMS, this week the Ed Laboon 17 takes center stage.

We welcome all who wish to attend. Our staff is ready to showcase some great DirtCar Sportsman racing as the headliner!

We have not had great Sportsman car count this season, but we do have some great dedicated PPMS Sportsman racers and races!

Join us for the inaugural Ed Laboon 17! Thanks to Vince for pulling this all together in such a short Timeframe. Ed will be smiling on us Saturday with too many of the racing folks we have lost to early, but they all would want us to roll on, and we will in their honor!

Agree with Matt, would like to see Chris Schneider and a healthy brigade of the Lernerville boys come down for this. I mean 1,000 to win for the sportsmen should be enough for past grudges to die and move on.

I just wanted to add I did speak to Chris personally and he simply said he has chosen not to support the Miley race track but would have come to any other track for this event. He also said he would have round up as many cars as possible for this event. While this is unfortunate, I respect his decision and he was nothing but nice to me. As noted he also donated $100 towards the purse. Maybe next year. Thanks Chris if you read this. Vince

Any other questions from the travelers? We covered open tire brands, 750 carbs, nose pieces, transpoders, etc. Sportsman are running first. I think that about covers everything? Oh did I mention the payout is over $8,000 with no entry fees?

Guess I'm routing for 29 now!

Will 20 get you running to the Northstar topless?

Vince has done a great job promoting this race regardless of how many cars ultimately attend, the more the merrier! He has removed just about all the obstacles you can to give every Sportsman type car a shot at the loot in his fathers honor.

So who will pass the most cars in the feature to earn these prizes? Local guy who nails the set up? Traveler who figures out the track after the heat? Almost time to find out!
