2 great ideas in 1 day !!! Thats exactly how it should be have them voteWe will consider reverting right back to the original SIZZLER plan $1000 to win, no entry fee $100 to start, $30 pits.
We need to hear from the actual racers who race this division at PPMS, We can't tell who is who on here, email me your feedback directly. mmiley99@comcast.net
If the event is not embraced by the division it is for we may as well just run a regular show, we can still honor JOOK.
Get the feedback directly to me soon.

I wondered the same thing and this is what i came up with. The purse was already $1000 to win $100 start. That money is already being spent. With the extra $75 being paid 32 cars will equal $2400. This lets them bump the top end of the purse up without taking away from the start money. If the race was announced at first $1000 to win $100 to start with a $75 fee then you are correct in wondering why they dont just have $25 start/tow. But this money will be on top of the original purse to make it bigger for the top 20 finishers. It is good for the top 15 but bad for 16-32 and non qualifiers. But as you have stated before you dont go to the track without the intention of winning. Hope this helps.Matt I know im the least favorite of your loyal supporters but please explain why not just deduct 75x the expected number of cars from the purse ??? How does taking someones money and giving it back make an ounce of sense ??? Why not just make it 500 to start with a 475 entry fee ?? or a 1000 to start with a 975 entry fee ?? Dont misunderstand im not suggesting you eliminate the entry fee and pay the purse anyway im suggesting you eliminate the entry fee and drop the purse by the same amount.. everything is even in the end and you have less people pissed at you. You make this claim everyone is " in this together" so why dont you ask the racers to vote if they would rather give you 75 then get an extra 75 or not give you 75 and not get 75 ?? Im sincerly asking this question, if there is some reason im missing please enlighten me

Sure, let's qualify again this year. Sort of forgot we have to make those decisions this year.
We will group qualify, then straight up heat starts, then redraw no more than 12 for the feature. Then straight up behind the redraw cars.
We will be using the PPMS lucky dog rule for this event, any cars one lap down go to the back and get their lap back as long as they were not the cause of the caution. Cars more than a lap down do not get the lap back and start behind the lead lap cars. All restarts are double file with leader getting lane choice and odd position cars following the lane choice of the leader. Leader fires first on restarts in the fire zone.
Sounds like a very good plan.
The original format for the payout and no entry is the way to go, that's how it was advertised and budgeted for by your weekly followers involved and spectating.
If someone wants to come in from outside the regulars its a decent purse, but not a crazy field on the last night of the regular season, a fair shake for your weekly supporters.
Get the Underwood's back whatever it takes!!!
Get the Underwood's back whatever it takes!!!
Dedicated ambassadors like them are hard to come by these days!!!
As you say we are all in this together, and part of the racing family is missing for sure!
They're as much........ or more of a fixture there, than the tether bolts sticking out of the wall!

This thread proves that crate racers and/or PPMS hardcore supporters aren't too smart. Matt Miley just admitted they will only pay a higher purse if the racer funds it. The $1,000 to win is already funded by the jacked up pit price. Now its $2,000 funded by an entry fee. Things must be getting desperate at PPMS judging by their recent price hikes. But yet the blind sheep keep on supporting them. Hummingbird is paying us more next weekend without this crap. Lernerville socks it to us sometimes but never like this track.
stay at hummingbird and keep your opinions there as well.

the Jook George race always had basically the same format as last weeks Laboon Memorial...
pill draw for the heats, top 6 out of the heats run a dash and the feature lines straight up from there..B main if needed.
I won the dash for the 40 lapper in '01 and '02 and started on the pole both years, not sure when it was changed to the Casino "Luck of the Draw" method.
02 or 03 was the last year for the dash

We support races that pay more and are willing to give teams a REAL EQUAL CHANCE at winning... I have no problem with raising the pit price and having an entry fee (seems pretty standard of all big events). Especially if you are going to time trial and pay out more to the top 10.
Where I have a problem is penalizing teams that work hard to be fast and spend countless hours making their stuff right by pill drawing or redrawing half the field every night. Last time I checked... everybody has an equal opportunity to be fast. So why not make you earn your starting spot and finishing spot rather than have it come down to luck of the draw.
This is a good thing you guys are doing Mr. Miley.. I will support it all day long.
Unfortunately Fastrak Series doesn't get it. They don't think you should earn starting spots, but rather they should be handed out like participation ribbons.
Everybody wins!
