If it's so popular, how come it's playing to less than half full crowds? How come ratings are down? How come established drivers can't find sponsorship?

Big Bill is rolling in his grave. The current folks in charge don't give a rat's ass about the actual racing. If they are truly to "fix" NASCAR, they have to fix the racing.

Apparently you have not noticed the empty seats at NFL, MLB and NBA games! Of course that is likely NASCAR's fault too! How about all of the empty seats at dirt races over the past two years? Yeah, I get it, that is NASCAR's fault too!

Same old bacon bits......just no logic or common sense whatsoever!

NFL and MLB attendance percentages (since you mentioned "empty seats") are up over last year. NBA is tough to judge, as the current season won't begin for a couple of weeks, and last season was truncated due to the lockout. The NBA lockout may or may not be a contributing factor for attendance, but it makes for an unfair comparison because the NFL, MLB, and NASCAR completed full schedules last year. However, since you brought it up, NBA attendance percentages increased from 2010-11 to 2011-12.

Is NASCAR on the way back up?

Same old riptide...defending NASCAR no matter what!

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

DavyLee2 I'm not much on politics but I don't think a movie or the economy could have that much impact you should probably read more and not just be an Obama follower but you're right about Ricky Rudd that guy is tough I heard he once fought off Harry Gant's entire pit crew after he stole a can of long cut straight but I can't find the link for the story I'm not as tech savvy as you
