Just pure speculation here, but from past Chili 100 events, if your car is in line with the rules from other tracks in the area, it should be fine. In the past there have been cars from Hummingbird, Marion Center, Thunder Mountain, Hesston, and Dog Hollow compete, I believe there were even a few Thunder Cars from Lincoln there one year.

well they do. was there lastnight n saw it for myself. plus check the rules. says headers permitted.. in all honesty its cheaper and easier to buy a set of headers than to buy manifolds then get someone to bend a exhaust. thats my opnion and alot of others i talked to as well

Janney, dont you think the Pure Stock rules should at the VERY LEAST say no Weight Jacks, and no 400 Motors, so we dont have Street Stock guys with 8 inch tires????

I agree. Vast majority of tracks run 350-358 ci limit/flat tops and stock manifolds in Pure Stock divisions. Weight jacks and bigger motors are nothing more than Street/pro stocks on smaller rubber. Opening up to bigger motors etc will not be fair to the 98% of the pure stocks out there.

Then the SS rules need clarification as well, to prevent late models from competing.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Heres a little thought, why dont all the Tracks get together and run ONE set of specs for each class so everyone, everywhere is on a level playing field.... or is that too simple and sensible?

BTW, who is running this race meeting?

Good luck with that one!!!
You'll have a better chance of seeing an Australian V-8 Supercar race at America's Raceway Park than seeing Western Pa promoters working together and setting up the same rules.
