If I was superdirt or Doug or HesstonPR or whoever the hell he is, he should tender his resignation immediately!! The whole problem with this was the fact that this self proclaimed race director, his hype machine and his lies, put the man who makes these races possible, Dave Eriksen, in an awful position. For anyone who doesn't know, Dave Eriksen has slaved too revamp Hesston Speedway into a place capable of handling a race like this and bringing some big late model shows into the area. For some reason Eriksen has somehow been able too be convinced that Doug Ferrell is a needed entity in trying too promote a speedway. What he has done is put Hesston out there as a mockery with his over the top advertisement, too his false car count registrations. He over sells something that don't need overselling. Last night the track surface at Hesston wasn't good, but for the shows prior too and even Friday night, the racing has been good. What Dave Eriksen has done facility wise, and giving drivers a smooth normally racey surface, and paying drivers fair, is enough of a selling point too always get support in that area. Dave Eriksen doesn't need a carnival barker. So please folks when bashing please keep in perspective, that the lack of car counts that were preached too us were not the work of the Speedway or the owner, but of a fool, who claims too be a race director who is trying too take advantage by treating us as fans as fools. And too further proof the nerve this fellow has is that he had the balls too even convince the track owner of the lie that was, 83 cars. As parking spots were removed too make room for more late model pit parking, too then have large sections of the regular pits then sit empty on Friday. I just think in this instance, shots need fired, I'm just trying too offer up my take, too see that these shots go in the right direction. Any hate needs directed too this disgrace of a promoter. Hesston management needs too move on. ^^^^ Copied from 4m And you know what Benny, you never support this place but always offer your fresh hot take. The amount of room created at this place the last two years is undeniable. Every time we get there, there's more been done by the Eriksens. I suppose you support the owners who let tracks fall too the ground, but this is an example of someone who has put the time and money in, his problem is he has the wrong guy steering the ship. Eriksens pay was very good for all classes and all positions, each night. But for some unknown reason this joker Doug, feels a reason too advertise it as combined pay instead of what it really is. Which then brings in Hesstona credibility, which shouldnt be questioned because the pay is good enough alone, and don't need his BS fluffing.

I am glad I did not drive 3.5 hours to see 40 supers. When it was advertised that 80 registered.

I saw a post on 4m that said 80 some registered/contacted Hesston that they would be there, but you didnt have to pay the entry fee until you went through the pit gate.

The place is to far away for one and to much hype for nothing as you can see it was.

The other 40 cars were at Wayne county for a $4000 to win race. i guess you think its okey to be like wilson who has the same ordeal with FREE pre entry to advertise 130+ lates last year and then only 80 some show up???

In the future, id say make everyone pay the entry fee, them if they show up, they get it back. that makes it that they are SERIOUS about coming.

The problem isn't the lack of cars. The 40-50 car range should have been a reasonable expectation for everyone, as that's what they get for most their specials, however when you blatantly lie too fans that there are 83 entered, expectations have been raised too levels unreachable. If he wouldn't have sent out that fake list and 48 cars were there, not one complaint on any of these boards would have complained about lack of cars. He brought this all on, and sad too see he's got Eriksen wrapped up in web of BS.

I was there twice over the summer. I live in Delaware, so I can't attend every show they have. I drove 40 minutes to Georgetown and was shocked to see two "preregistered" Hesston cars in the field (Haus & Stuhler). I do understand they have made room in the area, but sometimes races at a track can only be so big. The parking lot is super tight, with cars. Did they allow any camping at the track? Also, at the august show the pits seem to be really cramped (at least in the infield) and I kept thinking if its this way know, what will it be like in October.

I must addmitt I was shocked at the car count! Only because Dave Eriksen himself was telling racers that he had moore cars entered than he had room for in the pits! And that you better get your rig there Thursday Morning If you wanted to be assured of a parking spot! I attended all three nights! Then I read a post on here warning people to get there early on FRIDAY NIGHT AS TO AVOID A POSSIBLE TRAFFIC JAM OUT TO rte 26! I never thought that would happen! But I got there about 6 pm and drove right into the main parking ....no problem! The Pits were half empty...and the Stands were really bad! Too COLD! Horribly COLD! Was the problem for fans im my opinion! But the racing was good! 48 latemodels of great quality was more than enough for 6 heats and three consy's and a great feature! How much more do you want a a spectator? I am sure Dave wanted more as a promotor! Saturday night the Fan count and the weather was a little better! Not a packed house...but Good! And Lots of people in the Hillside parking area as well! But the car count.....a little lack luster 42! The racing....other than a few of the heats...a little lack luster! But as I said in an earlier post... most of these big shows are one lane races! However...I do htink 71 laps was too many! 50 would of been more than enough! 40 would of been perfect! Don't really watch the lesser divisions! So nothing to offer on them! Today I got a call from a well known Engine builder that I know....that knew I was attending the show! After I gave him the run down....he said to me"if I would of been there...I would of asked Dave Eriksen for a refund" I said your kidding..Right??? Nope... Several of my customers were listed a Pre-entries and they never entered! Had No Idea how thier names got on the list!???? Ok...WOW! In My Opinion.... It was a really nice professionally run show! The grounds at Hesston are Impecable(Pits and Parking)! The car quality was great! The racing was Fair to lack Luster....(Typical of Big shows) The prices were Fair(Food and Addmisssion)........The track was smooth from one end to the other but not what I like to see! I prefer a track that is starfired up on a regular basis and is a lot softer than Hesston...But that can make a rough speedway! And takes a lot of fuel and work! Really can't get that anywhere today! and the atmosphere was fun! Made for a great weekend for me! I got my money's worth and will be back! I didn't get more than my monies worth...though! On the negitive side....I was hoping to see like Alex Feree....Jared Miley...The Haus's...Jeremy Miller...Dj Myers...Chad McClellen....Sammy Stile....Chub.... and a few others that were advertized to be there....BUT? That would of made a good show a great show! With so many pre registered drivers missing...it seems ovious that someone stacked the pre-entry list! And I don't think it was Dave Eriksen! A fine Gentleman that put on a fine show! Thats let not forget is still in a battle for his life with Pancreatic Cancer! So Kudos the Eriksens for a great weekend of racing in our area!~ And for tasking the RISK to try to do a show like that in this economy! And may be ..Shame on You to Super Dirt for stacking the Deck! One more thing....I agree with loosing the stupid names for these races! Who thinks that stuff up???

I was thinking about it an if anything all of his carnival barking caused a lower car count !!! Who wants to drive 3 to 6 hours one way for a pill draw show with 90 cars ??? Had people known there was only 42 I bet 15 or 20 more cars might have came !!
