Justin queen won the pure-stocks . i believe they had to grade the track after the fwd car flipped in turn one when he hit that hole but as for doing the late model track interviews before the race that was not a good idea when most people had work on monday , i missed a lot of the heat races because i got there way late ,but the features were really good in most of the classes jason witherite was on a rail and leading by almost half a lap when the red flag flew but all the crews were told it was a fuel only stop and no air pressure adjustments . fuzzy and nate smith put on a heck of a show and the pure stocks with queen and the 1* what a heck of a battle they had going there was a purestock from hesston there it was the # 73 camaro not sure of the driver. when you put on one show a year like Janney and her crew do to raise money for charity you can expect some rough spots and so you know Janney reads this and she does care what people think maybe it is time for some of the rude people to remember what your mamma told you "if you can't say anything nice dont say anything at all". thank you Janney and gang for giving us one last race of the season.

First, I want to thank Janey for the effort. Having said that.... it was a real cluster. Good field of cars, good racing, no organization. Screw ups in the line ups... standing around the pay window in low 40's after midnight waiting to get paid for a race that had long been finished. Just a total lack of communication. Flagman did a good job. I know they are all good folks and did their best but these problems can and should be avoided. Witherite was a rocket..... crew must not have known about not being allowed to adjust tire pressures. They did it right in front of a track official. Fuzzy and Rhed had a great runs going but just can't close the deal on the Chili... if they made it a few laps shorter he'd have two or 3 them under his belt. Was good to see the VSI cars out there. Pure Stocks but on a hell of a show. Big difference in HP among entrants from different tracks. Some of those babys sounded like SS's.... good race none the less. Queen won from pole with a smooth run but Joiner didn't let him just walk away with it. Joiner in 1* and Surra in 3 made the Bird cars look respectable as they ran right with some real thumpers. Didn't see any FWD races.

i take it that no one saw the pure stock #4 come from 7th starting spot to finish third?

with a little more time, and that track, it'll be even bigger, and better next year. need to have more radios around the track. maybe even look into race-cievers for the future. that would make line-ups easier before the race, and during the race, which would move the racing along much smoother. the food wasn't too bad really but the people working in the pits concession stand were a little slow. could it use improvements, hell yeah. was it a good show for the time they had to work with? i don't think anyone could have done any better.

Mike blose has actually passed a few cars on the outside but he just came up lame. Otherwise don't move off the bottom and you will hold your spot.

Throttle stuck wide open I'm told.

I saw the number 4 pure stock it is just hard to mention every car on the track especially since i am not a reporter, that car runs strong every time i see it at Marion center and usually wins . good racing in all classes i wasn't going to go but just could not watch anymore of the smash up derby called NASCAR on t.v. any night at the races has to be better than sitting on a couch ! :P

The word was that they did'nt know who finished were. How does that happen. I can see messing a couple up but anyone that watched the race could have told them the top 10 off the top of their head.

Then to wait a hour and a half for pay...WOW ! I really hope those that left without their pay actually get it in the mail. That's the oldest one in the book....the checks in the mail....LOL.

Never again. I will NOT ever attend another one of these "specials" on a sunday unless they start at 6 am. They may get it in before the day is over that way.

Thank god it was'nt 100 laps or we would still be there.

If this cluster event is to happen next year do us ALL a real favor and run it in September on a SATURDAY .

This was'nt the first time for this race and it should have ran alot better than it did.

there was alot of good racing just not sure how you want a pat on the back for passing 4 cars in 20 laps, there were cars in the other classes that passed triple that. just saying.........
