Sounds like a bunch of wanna be promoters! There's a few tracks open if you'd like to try your hand at it. But regardless of the weather FORECAST, not the weather but the FORECAST, you can't promote a three-day event for a year as Thursday practice, Friday heats and Saturday features and then the day of the show change it to Thursday heats. Friday features when 75% of those racing have full time jobs! That's reactionary and promoter suicide! This track crew has shown that they'll work their asses off to get the track ready to get the show in. Have a little faith!

If there's one thing I have always hated with a passion it's false optimism, and you, DegenerationX, are the most guilty person on this website of that sin. I have 5 weather apps on my tablet, and all of those, every other weather website, and every TV weather report I have seen the past couple days all have this area getting wet Saturday and Sunday, some have it starting Friday night, and things are looking worse the closer we get. I would suppose that what they actually do will be influenced somewhat by how many cars they get and how many fans show up, but I'll guaran-damn-tee you with the weather we have coming the crowd will be down from previous years and so will the car counts. I think right now that they're probably gonna lose their ass this weekend and it's gonna be a miserable mess up there for racers and officials and track workers. As for the fans, for any of them that show up, it's gonna be miserable too, but I doubt many fans will be there.

Wrong on the car counts being down. The pits are damn near full for a practice night tonight. And there are still a lot of cars that will be here to race that aren't here tonight.

Car counts have been pretty damn good the past couple years. There could be a lotta cars there and still be less than last year.

I never go to practice night. If I go to this show it is only for the feature night, and given my opinion of the probable weather I expect to pass on this year's show. This is gonna be pneumonia weather this year.

According to the Weather Channel, 30% chance of rain Friday night, 50-50 chance of rain Saturday, 70% chance Sunday. Low 50's for highs Saturday.

Looks like they actually have a fighting chance to at least get the heats done tonight, but after that it's Katie-bar-the-door. If you've been watching the weather channel at all, I think you realize in the next week or so a lot of us are going to give a shit about things that are a lot more important than a few season ending racing shows. This weather system is gonna be a royal bastard.

No reply still from Lernerville on rainout info. Sounds like they get high price grandstands prices for friday and high dollar pit prices for friday and then if it rains out Saturday and Sunday they do not have to pay anything out. SWEET deal for them. Big ticket show friday and no pay out needed. We'll see if the weather man is right and they say sorry we are canceling saturday and sunday and no return of any money because anyone who came, got to see what they paid for on friday. I suspect they will refund the difference to the fans and drivers who paid for two a two day show. But it still leaves them making out great being able to put on a show friday with NO payout for the racing. Tough postition for the racers, the fans should come out ok if they rebate the difference between a one day show and a two day show. me... I'm heading out and going to give them my cash for the heat racing tonight and don't expect to be there on saturday or sunday because of the weather. The racers are the only ones I see likely to come out on the short end this weekend. hope i'm totally wrong on this one... :(

If they get rained out tomorrow and Sunday, I hope they come back in 2 weeks after WOO finals are over and run it then, weather permitting. Sometimes we get some pretty good weather in November and if we do they should use it.
