So give it up Express Man. Who did you hear that took it over????

Truthfully D1RT....I have no idea! Other than the same Rumor everyone else has....Tom Meyers! I did talk to Tom last Summer and he did tell me then that he had interest in the track! But I haven't talked to him since! But I am not sure I like what he told me either! His idea was to run a latemodel special or two a month and run Junk as weekly show! I Personally won't support a track that doesn't run a weekly latemodel show! The Fans deserve it...the drivers deserve it and the owner deserves it! You have to take the good with the bad in any business! Not just scoop the cream off the top! Just my .02

Junk is any racecar that originates from a "Junk Yard" or is repaired from a "Junkyard".. In the beginning...they all came from Junkyards!

Did the Promoter actually use that terminology (Junk) or did he nominate the classes he would run? I would envisage that any Promoter worth his salt who dropped a class ie Late Models, would replace them with another class - Modifieds, 305 Sprints, etc... to keep his fans happy.

I cant imagine anyone not running some sort of a weekly Late model class. Be it supers/steel block/Sportsman. When it comes to the big 3 (Lates,Mods,Sprints) in the TVR area, their is no debate that the race car population leans heavily to Late Model. Plus they are my personal favorites. I hope that dropping lates doesnt come to pass, because that will take a big hit out of there fan base. I have however heard that their will be clay! With the right maintenance, classes, and attitude, their is no reason that place cant be the premier facility in this area. I have felt that way since i watched them run the first race there in 97 and since i turned my first lap there at age 15 in 03.. Its a great track, just need some passion behind it. And some permanent shitters instead of the porta-poops would be nice too.. just my take on things. Feel free to rip it to pieces, that seems to be the majority of what happens on here. ~ Kory

Latest RUMOR is its going to be a Fastrack deal! And that a Former Promotor, a car Salesman and a former/current Racer are teaming up to promote! Kind of narrows the field to a few! Which I don't think would be a good option!

Never thought of that! But not me! There would only be one track that I would ever promote......Latrobe Speedway! People over in that area have Jobs and can afford to attend the races! And usually do! Also the Clay on that track....for a big track is like no other! You can run the sofest tires you have all night and never hurt them! Can't beleive no one gives it a go!
