Let me guess you would rather see , emods, big block mods , small block mods , vintage mods and mod lights ??? And that would be pure pleasure for you right ?? You would be in heaven right ??? And you would be the only one in the stands too !!!

never said any of that, just said i would have liked a few more specials....

Actually, if you took time to read his post before you engaged the convoluted mass of grey matter that sits between your ears, you would have noticed he mentioned LM (but not in capitals as I have), which I assume to be the acronym for Late Models. He did not mention anything about Modifieds of any description. And I'm guessing that you have intimate knowledge of this track, the fans, what attracts them and what doesn't? Do you have some special ability as a Soothsayer and know what will be popular at this track in 2013 and beyond? Have you even been to it?

I know, you're a Late Model guy... you live, breathe, crap and piss Late Models... good for you sunshine. Dont see people putting you or the Class down as a result. You need to get out more and expand your horizons. Some people actually like other classes! ;)

Well here’s some food for thought. I don’t believe that there are enough teams, paying fans, and just general good old money to support three tracks with a what 40 or so mile radius on the same night. With the economy the way it is, people will have to select what track to attend, to spend their hard earned dollars. They will select the track that has something interesting going on, not the track that has the same old same old. AMP will start out strong because it is new and people will go there to see what is going on. But at least one of these tracks is going to lose unless they step up their game and make it super interesting for the fans. It’s all about the entertainment factor, and who will be able to produce. So you can have your arguments about Late Models, Sprint Cars ((which I speak out about)) modifieds, whatever…in the end it will be about keeping the fans attention and retaining them.

If you would get off your pump car and pay attention you would have seen damn near everyone of sunhunnys posts have her creaming over talk of any type of mods . I'm not talking down mods . But face facts super lates and sprint cars are what draw fans.

But one of those three tracks you speak of will be starting its 48th consecutive season this Spring so it must be doing something right......

Correct...which goes along with my train of thought that the other tracks are going to have to be on their game, and provide better entertainment and something more for the dollar.

I have been at the track this weekend helping them out.To answer some of your concerns,Jeff was getting hammered to release his schedule. He wanted to wait two more weeks because he was talking to a few groups. He did not want to put a date on any big late model shows or 410 sprints to assure that he would not be going up against other specials. He said he is the new kid on the block and will let other tracks take the lead on those two divisions. He is for sure going to have a lot more specials. He booked right now what was available.Remember you can not make everybody happy so you try to make the majority happy. He has told me of a possible big late model show at the end of the year and some thing around July 4th.

wow for real ppl bitch cuz the track was sitting and not doing a thing ! Some one buys it busts there ass working on it and ppl bitch about that! Look at it this way. Its his first year . he dumped a ton of money in to the place. So why bitch about the schedule? Even if he did not have 1 single "big" special race. who cares, it his first year. give it a shot stop bitching about specials , rules , payoffs, and schedules if ya going to race there build a car and go , with a open mind. If ya going to go watch, go watch with a open mind. damm Rome was not built in a day!!
