Well said, seems everybodys in a rut and stuck on saturday nites,do you realize how many tracks run sat in western half of pa,heres an idea, how about a wed nite show and make it interesting for the fans with plenty of radio advertising, have raffles and such as well as a featured race team every week, with write ups in the local paper, there are unlimited ways to bring em in,and i know people will say it wont work on a weekday, but the reality is,you can nay say all you want or you can sit back and watch the smart ones at work, who utilize this idea.I'll post the same thing here that I posted on the other thread.
Well here’s some food for thought. I don’t believe that there are enough teams, paying fans, and just general good old money to support three tracks with a what 40 or so mile radius on the same night. With the economy the way it is, people will have to select what track to attend, to spend their hard earned dollars. They will select the track that has something interesting going on, not the track that has the same old same old. AMP will start out strong because it is new and people will go there to see what is going on. But at least one of these tracks is going to lose unless they step up their game and make it super interesting for the fans. It’s all about the entertainment factor, and who will be able to produce. So you can have your arguments about Late Models, Sprint Cars ((which I speak out about)) modifieds, whatever…in the end it will be about keeping the fans attention and retaining them.

lets give them a chance!!! last season at hummingbird speedway was a crash fest. add terrible payouts with that also. as a racer i prefer good pay and less wrecks.
We are working so very hard to make the track racer friendly and family oriented and a great night of racing for all. We are working on so many plans ! Give us a chance I guarantee you won't be disappointed. But you might need a little bit of patience while we work the kinks and bugs out !

i like that a driver bought the place and he has raced in many places and seen many tracks and he can build amp back up to its glory days (hidden valley)
It sure does help !!! We had a rules meet and greet meeting in November and the drivers that attended were able to participate in the formation in the rules for this season !

Its pretty bad that the 2 tracks in this area wouldn't talk to him and work out a schedule that would work for everyone. I guess they don't care about loss of car count.
If you're talking about Marion Center being one of those two tracks why should they change their schedule to cater to AMP???
They have been racing going on 48 years this Spring and have been racing on Saturday nights long before the original Hidden Valley was even a thought.
AMP could have made the decision to run on Fridays with only one track to compete against or Sundays and have no tracks close to compete against but he decided to run on Saturdays against two tracks close to an hour from each other.

Chuck, Not sure what country you live in but are country is a socialist country under this adminstration or have'nt you noticed, anyway back to racin, Not sure who the 75% were but thier probally teams that got some kind of beef with the other tracks (because you can't please everyone) And are using a.m.p. to try to get back at them. As far as spliting the local cars among three tracks on saturday is just bad bussiness for all the owners. If one of you (track owners) would race fri. or sun. you would clean up!!! HOW BOUT IT!!!!!!!! I know a guy that built a track in an old field and had a race on sunday 20 beater cars and about 350 people showed up. TRUE RACERS AND FANS DON'T CARE WHAT DAY IT ISUnforgiven,Like I said you (can not make everybody happy).I believe in a capitalistic country such as the one we live in,compatition will bring out the best in us.Jeff's first wanted to run on Sunday night but the feedback from 75% of the race teams was they could not make Sunday.I know that Jeff was concerned and reached out to other area tracks and got nothing but grieve from two local tracks. Two other track owners have been helping him get started and even worked his race last year at Thunder Mountain for free. Those two tracks are within 60 miles of his track.Jeff was willing to work with other area tracks besides the two but they showed no interest.

Man, did you ever nail that on the head!JMO - if one wants to keep it professional, stay off here, you know you'll always have negativity on here for hte most part.
This is a chat forum, who cares if they dont post anything regarding AMP on here, it's a business, it's their choice, thats why they are having a website. I think it's smart business. Why have haters get on here and complain or find the smallest of things to bitch about?
It's January and they have their schedule out...what other local tracks have that thus far? None to my knowledge.
See you at A.M.P.

Hope amp steals enough cars off of mc that rich has to shut the doors. That is what he wants apparently. Mc is the only track if been to that you shit in in a stall with no door piss in a trough that hasn't been hosed out in .... Ohhh I'd say 48 years sounds about right, has no speakers in the pits to alert drivers of their race lining up, food sucks, you need a dust mask to watch a race without choking, and need a spotlight to see the cars, oh and the payout hasnt changed in 20 years either. Hope rich is happy with running his father in laws dream right into the ground. All the people on this board bitching about amp payout or classes, this man has put up a lot of his money to provide a place to race with 0 return on his investment thus far give it a year see how it goes then complain. Give it a chance. If you're talking about Marion Center being one of those two tracks why should they change their schedule to cater to AMP???
