Between the mini late models and the mod lights showing up last year combined I don't think they were pulling in any more cars than the 4 bangers. Hate to say this as Suhoney18 will get all moist, but I would love to see the big block mods back up there as they always put on a heck of a show.

Yeah she needs the hay changed in her stall now that you said that ... The mods are where it's at !!! As evidenced by the fact they travel all over for 1200 to win ...

The 4-cylinders had 8 show up for the last night, 7 started the feature. There were only a couple nights that there were actually more than 10. I know there is at least one of those cars that has moved up and a couple that were quitting.......I think it says that the mod-lites will start the season there....I take that as a "let's see how it goes"..... If enough support it, they will continue.

If those things were 5 or 6 k they would be a viable option but not for 18k

Now if only they'd drop the pure stocks, street stocks, limited lates, and lates for emods, crate mods, small block mods, and big block mods the card would be money! Then highlight the schedule with appearances by the BRP tour and vintage mods.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

The BRP's and the vintage mods would be better than a all you could handle smode pass to the AVN show in Vegas !!

Now they need to drop the 3/4 late models and bring in the 270cc Micro Sprints.

I'll try to dumb this down so you can understand it. The 3/4 late models is a new class that has struggled to get a solid car count since its debut. Without a decent car count there isn't gonna be any good racing. The 270cc Micro Sprints have been around for years and is a very well populated class through-out the state. There were over 40 different Micro Sprint drivers at the Little Guy Nationals and more than 80 at Linda Speedway's National Open. Marion Center drew over 35 cars a night when they ran Micro Sprints and I've spoken with several drivers that would love to get back there. The micro sprints put on great shows, espeically at bullrings like Marion Center. So yes, it is using your head. You must be 1 of the pissed off 4 banger drivers.

And Marion Center must have had a pretty good reason for dropping them even with them drawing in those kind of car counts....

Ok, I have a legit question, do the mod lites cost less to buy than the 3/4 lates? As Legend stated the cost of those little cars are outrageous, if a guy could get into a mod lite for 5-6k, then it might work.

Unfortunately its nothing to see the top guys in Mod-Lites and 600cc Micro Sprints spend over 20k on a brand new car. The 270s are about 15k brand new. You can find a good used Mod-Lite or 600 between 8,000 & 14,000. A good used 270 you're looking at between 4,500 & 8,000.
