Ok, I have a legit question, do the mod lites cost less to buy than the 3/4 lates? As Legend stated the cost of those little cars are outrageous, if a guy could get into a mod lite for 5-6k, then it might work.

Kind of looks like you could......at least used you could....there was a 2006 for $5K but most are upwards of $8K and up...

If those things were 5 or 6 k they would be a viable option but not for 18k

Agreed. And what were they running for? A trophy? Biggest set of wanna-be's i have seen. If your gonna waste the money, put a crate car together. Then fight between the rush and fastrack series and buy a massive hauler and come in 3rd place behind pegher and blair and take home $100 bucks.

Or they could spend 3k on a 96 bullitt leaf car and go battle 10 future hall of famers at hummingbird for 600 to win and 15 dollars to start

I'll try to dumb this down so you can understand it. The 3/4 late models is a new class that has struggled to get a solid car count since its debut. Without a decent car count there isn't gonna be any good racing. The 270cc Micro Sprints have been around for years and is a very well populated class through-out the state. There were over 40 different Micro Sprint drivers at the Little Guy Nationals and more than 80 at Linda Speedway's National Open. Marion Center drew over 35 cars a night when they ran Micro Sprints and I've spoken with several drivers that would love to get back there. The micro sprints put on great shows, espeically at bullrings like Marion Center. So yes, it is using your head. You must be 1 of the pissed off 4 banger drivers.

You were the little smurf that was on here about this time last year testifying that all of the local tracks needed to add 3/4 scale LM's because there was a plethora of high paying races for them in the region and the class was going to take off. All of which was bullshit, as I pointed out.

Now, you want MCS to drop them in favor of 270cc Micros, a class that was semi-popular around here in the mid to late 90's, but has now been relegated to tracks like Deerfield and Blanket Hill, where they belong. There are your options, go run there.

There are more classes for affordable racing around here than there is spectator interest in just about all of them. If you aren't happy with the tracks that currently host 270cc Micros, then get in to another class instead of spamming this board.

I had heard at the time the micros were dropped that there were a small but persistent minority of micro racers who persisted in acting like jerks in the same ways over and over again no matter how many times they were told about it, and the Potts family got so fed up with their bullshit that rather than just bar the assholes they booted the whole division. Don't know how true that is, but if they ever let them back the assholes better stay away this time.

Id rather watch the track crew work the track than watch micro's.

That tracks to big for micros the racing is boring on big tracks and they wouldn't get enough of them.

this is what i was thinking as well...not taking nothing away from them cause i don't think they would be a bad show on a tiny bullring
