Jerry Redden has been racing longer than you've been alive and probably forgotten more about a race car than you'll ever learn in your lifetime.

Unfortunatley money and brains don't always go hand in hand. Tim Bainey likes asphalt and thought that if he built it they would come.

That track thrived as a dirt track even through the ownership of the great Dan Russell...lol.

Looks like he has forgotten everything he knows when he straps into a car

All I can say is "What a Shame" this is. If someone does not buy this track and take it back to dirt, then a great race track is lost. The Bainey's came in and bought the track. They ran it as dirt and took the fans and competitors money which enabled them to take the track back to pavement. I hate to beat a dead horse, but pavement racing in this area is dead. I know they were trying to resurrect pavement racing, but they did it at the expense of all the dirt fans and competitors and by taking away one of the best dirt facilities in the area, they basically said screw you to the dirt nation. Hopefully someone buys the track and brings the dirt back. It was one of my favorite places to go as I know it was a lot of people's favorite track to go to.

I remember the good old days at Eldora. Earl used to ask for a voice vote. YES or NO. Should I pave the track or not? We won and so did everyone else. Maybe the Baineys never heard of Earl, but I doubt it.
