Considering the weather that PA has been experiencing this spring, this is a wise decision. There is no way that any track owner has been able to prepare their racetrack when it has constantly been covered with snow. Racers should be grateful that they are taking the time to make sure everything is ready for racing with a lower chance of equipment damage due to a rushed opening just to suit the whiners who grace this page.

Exactly, this place is a joke!I'll bet there are at least a half dozen local shows in the books by April 19, and the tracks will be fine.

Isn't that the truth. If they want to race with poor track conditions, as these so called "local" tracks may have, instead of waiting for a well prepared track, that's their unwise choice!

So you really think cancelling 3 WEEKS EARLY is ok??Isn't that the truth. If they want to race with poor track conditions, as these so called "local" tracks may have, instead of waiting for a well prepared track, that's their unwise choice!

We would all like to be out there ASAP. Weather on April 19th is not the question. The last 30 days and probably the next week to 10 days is prep time that didnt happen. Not to mention they are talking of extending the season into Sept to make these lost weeks up.

Here is looking at the infield at about 10:30 this morning. You sink just walking across the pits, there is no way the track is workable. As far as practice on the 20th instead of racing on the 19th, that is because Jim is giving the racers 2 practices to work out their cars before the first race. Its obvious you guys think only of yourselves as fans.
And Jim wouldn't want to LOOSE any money because the weather is cold and maybe people won't come! Jim Michany only thinks about Jims Pocketbook!!!!!!

Their never to concerned about the track surface in the middle of summer, whats the diff?Isn't that the truth. If they want to race with poor track conditions, as these so called "local" tracks may have, instead of waiting for a well prepared track, that's their unwise choice!
