Hope he can make a go of it. Hopefully has the connections within the asphalt racing world to make it work. If it is to continue being an asphalt track, hopefully he brings in NASCAR or RoC modifieds sometime. I'd love to see TC make his way around there.

I could care less if there 10 or 10,000 people. As long as they are willing to put on a show, I'll be there to watch it. The only person I'm worried about having a good time is me. You can barely cross a county line in this state without tripping over a dirt track, and I've attended plenty of them in my days, and I've enjoyed every one of them. But, I will admit that some of my favorite race nights were at the asphalt track.

My favorite part about the asphalt track (at Clearfield) is hopping out after turning a 100mph average lap in a 2-bbl with a big smile on my face.

I know that myself T440, and Ramey36 are in the minority here in Central PA...but I will completely agree with T440, some of the best times I have ever had were at that track (asphalt). I think it will work if the new owner does the right things, one of those things would be to bring in some big shows such as the NASCAR trucks...I think that would go over well around here, as people around here are truck oriented, myself included.

if this place stays paved, it'll definitely go out of business because the legend wont race there. everyone should know that.

Well no. But you can't compare The Legend to Bloomquist but some do just that.

I saw the press release and they said that Late Model, Street Stock and 4 cylinders would be returning to the track. They didn't say they were going weekly but it will stay a paved track either way. Open house is on May 4.

Wondering what time open house will be? I'll check the website for the press release. I'd like to go, but I do have something planned for that day.

Pocono is some backwoods ass track in the middle of nowhere that nobody likes that happens to have some big time races because it's the closest track to the population center of the country. When they do get the long rumored track constructed in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut (and it will happen, when the right palms get greased and the right union contracts get signed it'll be up in less than a year) metro area some day, Pocono will become dormant and no races will happen there any more.
