Well no. But you can't compare The Legend to Bloomquist but some do just that.

you just have to read real close, and you'll notice the massive amounts of sarcasm in the comparison hahaha

First of all he has a plan, and the things that he is already planning to do make perfect sense for that place...that facility can be used for so much more than just a once a week, once a month or a couple of times a summer event...so why shouldn't I be excited about it?

It is staying asphalt, there will be a few races this year, AND, did I mention it is staying asphalt!? What other reasons do you need to get excited about?

I am not here to fight with anyone but it seems to me that he might want this place to fail and here is why i say this ,he is running 3 classes that there are no cars around anymore . so lets be honest here would you build a car for a track that might not make a go of it ? funny thing is and i know this is a far reach here ... the NASCAR trucks run every week to empty stands but you put the same drivers on a dirt track at Eldora and the place sells out . i hope the place makes it but with the past history of asphalt racing around here i doubt it will . kinda makes you wonder why this guy would go over to america's motorsport park and introduce himself ? but i would bet when he sees how empty his stands are he would wish he had a dirt track . good luck to him i hope he packs the place every night even the asphalt fans need a place to go . it is not a good sign when Bainey 's were giving out 1000 free tickets and the stands were still empty . ok i am done now :P

The crowd for the first late model show last year, while it looked spotty and sparse, would have more than filled the stands at Hummingbird. The K&N race, the stands were packed, now whether everyone got in free or not, I can't say. Anybody taking over the track, would have to know that there are no asphalt cars in the area anymore. Same with a dirt track. There are not enough cars in the Philipsburg / Clearfield area to fill any division at any race track, dirt or asphalt. So either way you look at it, you are going to have draw in teams from other areas to put on a show. Asphalt teams don't have a lot of options, and dirt teams will have to drive past other tracks to get to Clearfield, so there are challenges on both sides of the fence. Personally, and yes, I know I am in the minority, I will gladly attend an asphalt show once in awhile, just to see something different. I can go anywhere on a Friday or Saturday night to watch dirt track racing, and I more than likely still will, but when an opportunity presents itself to see something that I don't get to see all the time, I'll take it.

There are no asphalt LM cars around? How about all of the guys that ran Motordrome, Lake Erie and Jennerstown? That was just last year, and I'm certain that they have not cut those cars up for scrap yet. There are also a few LM's around that ran at Clearfield. There are also quite a few street stocks still around, don't forget streets ran Motordrome I believe. Next, he did not say that he was running every week, I don't think that's his intention...however he did say that he has other things on tap, such as the ride along program. You bring the trucks in, or the asphalt lates, push a ride along program that night, and people will come just for that. Next, he is highly involved in driving schools, I believe that now since he has his own track you will in all likelihood see a driving school there. Next, Jeff has already told him that he will work with him on the nights that the asphalt track has a special. Why would you think he wants the place to fail? Unless he just has lots of extra cash in the checking account he has absolutely no idea what to do with...

T-440 you come to my house some weekend (you know where i live lol ) and i will take you and show you 5 dirt race cars in lanse alone ,2 late models -2 purestocks and a street stock some of them need put together and i think the owners are not working on them just because of the payouts and the way the economy is .now as to the question as to why you would buy a track and want it to fail i am not saying he wants the place to fail but maybe there is a clause in the sale agreement that it is to be ran as an asphalt track and if it don't work out it then can be turned back into a dirt track . who knows i am just guessing .i saw on here somewhere that he needs to draw 30 thousand fans ???good luck ! oh and if the jennerstown guys wanted to race don't you think that Jennerstown would still be open?they had no crowd either and i watched them when they had that show on t.v. a few years ago the stands were empty.

That's funny. a lm or sprint car race at a .25 mile track built in a ravine that will attract a large crowd.

I see by the CNB Raceway Park website schedule that they are going head to head with AMP on a few Saturday Nights That is not going to help either track.

It wont be a contest. The area is made up of predominately dirt competitors and fans. If anyone can list how many currently active asphalt cars there are in Clearfield and surrounding Counties compared to dirt cars, it might give an insight to how successful Central PA will be against AMP.

Wish them well. Gonna be tough. All you pavemet bashers, I love racing, dirt and asphalt. Some of best racing I ever witnessed was AG the paved track.

I agree, running on the same night as the dirt tracks isn't going to do anything to help thier cause. I actually enjoyed the afternoon show they did in the fall, track held up good and there was no dust LOL
