Been around modifieds my whole life. My dad crewed on cars since the mid 80's and has had his own since 98. Been going to the track since I could walk and been to just about every mod track and major race along the way. I'm probably not as dumb as you think I am, just because we have differing opinions on things. I admit that I have no filter sometimes and should probably keep my opinions to myself, but it hasn't happened in 27 years and I highly doubt that's gonna change any time soon.
I have been around modifieds since 1983, and was around some of the best for an awful lot of it, because I grew up in northern New Jersey and chased the Super DIRT Series back when it actually meant something. I have crewed over the years for legends like CD Coville and Doug Hoffman. I have been to every track that runs northeastern style modifieds as a regular division except for Glen Ridge, Airborne, and Mohawk. I actually attended races at Flemington (which was my weekly haunt from 1984-1994), Both tracks in Nazareth, East Windsor, Moc A Tek and Penn National and am extremely bummed that none of them exist any more.
And I've thought from the beginning it was a fuel calculation issue because it sounded like one. BJ confirmed it was one. What more do you need? Sometimes, as I pointed out, even the most professional teams make mistakes.
But no, you believe that the guy who has probably the cleanest reputation in western Pennsylvania modified racing said "Hey, I'm going to start cheating"... right.
