Denny said in his interview that both of thiers were for sale, and they would build different ones. I really hope that class takes off, I think it will be a good class if they stick to the rules and give it some time to grow. Is the 602 crate engine legal for that class?

how is he allowed to run with the supers and then drop down to an economical "beginners class"....that class is gonna be a joke for a long time because nobody has anything for denny...and amp wont do squat about it

I personally don't care if the fentons built 10 limited lates at least there promoting a new class at there home track to help it grow. I have a lot of respect for them for it.

It's beyond me or probably anyone else, besides Sunhoney, can bitch about the effort and time that these people have put into this track....with all your negativity, im not sure why anyone would take one word from you serious. It's all the time, you need to relax and understand it's not all about you. It's the first week for cryin out loud! Give them some time! You do realize that some of these people arent from the Clearfield area and may be from NJ? Thus not knowing most or any of these drivers? I thought they did an excellant job. I doubt the MC guys will stay considering MC starts in a few weeks. Car counts will go up with the way the racing surface was and if it stays that way....it seemed to improve as the night went on, little rough in one during heats, but seemed to smooth out. But of course, what do i know about racing, im just a hillside spectator. @ Chuck Stevens, would Mr. Taylor mind if i moved my reserved hillspot sign up on the fence? It is directly in the view of the track as i sit on the back of my tailgate.

Thanks for the support; this class is a very affordable class and I also see it growing in leaps and bounds. In all honesty; the engines in those cars are pure stock engines, the chassis's are an 04 and an 05 rocket with tons of races on them; oil filled shocks non-adjustable. A person could buy an old jalopy and be racing in this division for 8 to 10 K and the class pays $500.00 to win and 100.00 to start. If the field is 20 cars which I personally believe by years end, the field will be full. Or as the LEGEND says it; the 1996 late model chassis are great for this division.

I personally don't care if the fentons built 10 limited lates at least there promoting a new class at there home track to help it grow. I have a lot of respect for them for it.

I applaud Mr Taylor for creating an entry level LM class as well. Chassis cars with moderate engines on a bullring have the potential to be mid-pack fast with the supers at a much lower price point. I agree with dylchris that you'll see a full field by the end of the year. There are a ton of chassis around just waiting to hit the track. What's more enticing than not spending $4k on shocks or a dry sump system?... ramey

I just sold an old 96 Bullitt 4 link car for $1500 so maybe you will see it out there on the track pretty soon. You do not have to spend much on a motor to be able to run this new class as the main thing is to get seat time. I have a cast iron Chevy complete I would sell to you for only $900 and like Denny Fenton said it is basically a pure stock motor.

I really doubt that once the class starts to grow that Denny will continue to compete in the class. Myself, I agree with deathpunch, I think its great that they are supporting the division with two cars. The Fentons take a lot of crap on here, but you'd be hard pressed to find another team with the commitment and desire to help the local racing scene, like they do.

As for the class itself, I love the idea behind it. It's a lot like the Econo Mods at Sharon, and the Vintage Modifieds. A lower cost alternative to the current late model and street stocks, with a decent payout.

I do not see in the rules where it disqualifies anyone from racing the division; it is an affordable class; I would expect that if a driver has engine troubles that you may see several competitors from the open late division in the class some. I also heard that other drivers are preparing to run both divisions, I am not sure if it true or not but just what I heard. Is it any different than the northern cars racing both the opens and the econo mods? JMO We will comply with what is requested. All we want to do is get the division starting because I personally believe it is a class for the future. Everyone will say the crates are already here, but the crate rules allow the 8 to 10 thousand dollars spent on the four corners, this class does not and if you want to out build on the engine, you have no spoiler to help hook it and little valve lift to allow it to breathe.

Hey Scott. I'd keep doing what you're doing. Good on ya for supporting the sport.

Also, real racers don't care who races against them. That's how you get better.

Jeff said yes do what you need to do to make it right for you and your friends and family. If that means moving the sign up or down.As far as the new semi class goes,it is designed to cut cost and to get old racers back out and to help lower budget owners a way to race.We are in this for the long haul.Jeff and crew came up with a list of 51 changes or improvements that they are going to get done this week.Rome was not built in a day.Jeff received an email from a senior citizen that sat in the special section for them and thanked them for the hostess they provided and the care in which she received.I think that made it all worth while for Jeff and America.
