I remember those cars- probably the only Valiant race cars there were! Watched them out of the back of a '61 Chevy wagon in turn one by a family kind enough to take me to the races. I also remember a blue Nova with a straight axle, Bill Williams drove it once- any photos of that or his Henry J #163?

Wow Gene it is nice to see these old pics, especially the 73 of John Kennedy , If I remember right and I may not that was an old Pontiac coupe that Andy Lutz drove. We worked on John's car at Hesselgessers garage in Harrisville. John is Bill Altman's that owns Mercer Raceway Park , cousin.

I believe you are correct on the 73. That was the first thought I had when I saw the picture, it looks very familiar.
Why do I like racing ? Well the colors are bright and there is a lot of movement, so it holds my attention.
