The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRAsanctioned event has a deep tradition of great drivers that have won thecoveted trophy over the years. In the rich 20-yearhistory of the Show-Me 100, there have been nine different drivers that havebeen able to capture this crown jewel event. It’s a great event and a greatfacility, no doubt! We’ve been running pretty good lately and really felt likewe had a car capable of winning last weekend’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Seriesevent at Batesville Motor Speedway until I broke a suspension part in the rightfront while running in second place. We’re ready to go and we’ll be thereThursday for the MLRA $5,000 to win show and then try and win our fourthShow-Me 100 title and the $30,000 on Saturday,” stated Wendell Wallace, driverof the famous blue number 6M. Drivers who have twoShow-Me 100 trophies include Jimmy Owens; Hall of Famer, Freddy Smith ofSeymour, TN; and Ray Cook of Brasstown, NC. Forrest Lucas has really helped to grow this eventinto a great weekend of activities and has a great facility to hold a truecrown jewel event of this magnitude. Having the event on CBS is huge and we’rehoping to get three in a row this year,” stated Jimmy Owens.
