How many of the 5.3's are left?Walt, Is this race sanctioned by Racesaver, or is it an open race? Are the 5.3 guys eligible to compete in this race?

Another of the concepts behind Racesaver was that the winner should not receive any more than twice what starting pays. Pay $700 to win. OK. $350 to start.Mercer should switch to racesaver get more cars. Why would i go and run out side of racesaver i built my engine to there rules. To run somewere else and be out powered by an open 305. I dont need a back bone. I have a brain that would be stupid and a waste of time. The rules not stupid if u understand the concept behind the series. The pass has had 30 to 37 cars there last couple of races down east.

Walker dont take this the wrong way, but I raced with the PST 360 sprints and made more money and did pretty well last weekend! Started 13th was up to 9th and me and another guy got together and spun. It was a legal racesaver 305 motor! They paid $250 to start and a guarenteed $305 for the highest finishing 305. Ended finishing 13th. Now you guys wont run outside of the "racesaver" sanction because of a rule that you guys dont have a backbone to stand uo too!!!
I love the racesaver rules and completely understand them except the racing outside of racesaver rule. Also the 305 at Mercer are almost a carbon copy of the racesaver rules. I built my motor to the racesaver rules for better resale and if I wanted to race racesaver too.
Just dont take this the wrong way but half of the guys (maybe you too) are spending way too much on your 305's. The money people spend on the 305's you could have a really nice 410 and run for more money, cause lets face it race fuel, truck fuel, generator/four wheeler fuel, racecar parts and pit passes are identical to that of a 410 team. The 305's just get paid pennies on a dollar to race. Now I'm not getting into a pissing match with you just letting you understand basic math concepts. If they paid $500-$600 and rightfully so back through the pack it would be a better deal but not $275-$350 to win.

You miss understand the rule. We can and have ran with 410s and 360s with our sealed racesaver 305's. Where the rule comes into play is racing with other non-sanctioned 305s.
Mercer had the PA 305 Racersavers for a show years ago that got rained out, and even with the rain they got a half decent car count and several teams were looking to return, especially those in this side of the state, yet they decided not to reschedule us. I understand doing what they did with mixing cars and engines to try and gain teams and have no problem with it. The issue is the opportunity was given by FRENCH GRIMES to let those guys run with us LEGALY and vise versa IF they were to provide him with an engine to dyno so that he could see where they stood to a racesaver 305. This was even brought up at the meeting we had at Dog Hollow yet no one stood up and had a backbone to take an engine to French. Even the new IMCA sanction of the racesavers at Eagle is allowing their previous 360s to run with them as long as they can evenly match the horsepower up to the 305s by taking an engine to the tech guy and dynoing it and making restrictors that bring the power down.
Now that I feel a little off topic, back to the Marion Center race. Rules are Rules, and as a racesaver I want to know who is in control of this show, not because I don't have a backbone, but because I don't want to fork out the money to get reteched like those who ventured up to race at sportsman last year. So who is it, Walt or Jim Michny/Robbie Bartchy, or is Marion Center making deals with everyone?

Lol how the hell do u even compare a 410 to a 305. My motor cost $8000 complete. Thats not even close to $40,000 to $50,000 to a 410.
[/quote No a really nice 410 to a 305. Still a Lol .

Robbie and racesaver r going to be looking for dates at other tracks for the series to grow for next year. Hopefully marion center comes on board for races next yearI know Walt doesn't have anything to do with the series i meant it as Walt (mercer), Jim/Robbie (Racesaver), or Marion Center doing their own deal
