I agree with you Mr Cole lock them up or weld them! Bar cars and leaf cars, I have had Jordan's welded and bolted from his second race last year. When I re-tubed the 8c car this year I welded the saddle solid to the axle tube with no floating device on it! I still can get the 7 car to pull the frt wheel if I want its called hooked up. Its just the right spring and shock package, Been building leaf cars for 14 years. Anyone can come and look at my rear end of my car any time I will even pull the right rear tire for you.
As far as Composite springs they are O.E design I can switch over to steel and be just as fast, I run them for durability, The set that was on the 62 car that got wrecked @ Eldora in 2011 was a 3. year old set of springs! The set in Jordan's have been on the car since it was new.
Steel spring are to be replaced 6-8 races or they loose forward bite or have them re-arched every few weeks depending on how many races you run per week. Composite is way more to buy in the beginning but savings over the year is worth the money. JMO Tim

My nose can be ordered from the performance bodies catalog too, it's right in the MD3 section.
There are rules discussed here that I both agree, and disagree with. A last minute rule change last season depleted about every red cent I had for my racing funds for 2012. I'd not try to get rules changed that affect others while the season is in progress. If it passed tech up until now, it should continue to do so on the issues mentioned here, in my opinion. Off season is time to do the suggesting, and complaining if you feel you must.
Currently I am busy enough trying to get my own car faster, and don't really care what others are doing. This is supposed to be FUN, let's keep that our main goal.
Good luck to all,
Tim Cole

I totaly disagree rules are rules that would be like getting caught with traction control and the saying OH you paid alot of money for it go ahead and run it but take it off next year!
Knowing that it was not built or in compliance with the rules in the rule book when the car was assembled,
I'd say give them a week on the swedge tubes and make them weld or bolt the birdcages Friday night or not run (PERIOD)
The rules won't let you run a right frt brake shut off, But how many stock cars have them just because you make it thru tech 6 weeks in a row! and then get caught does not make it all right to run the rest of the year.
Mr Cole was it not your crew member say last fall when you were going to build a new car that they told you NO that the bird cages must be welded or bolted to run this type of set up.
I talked with Mr Conover last night he said maybe he should build a bar car and put Matt Miller in it and show that someone with knowledge could win almost every week in it. Rules are Rules limaland grow a pair and put the haults to these cars!!!! Chris & Eric after checking out my profile in the last two days my name is Charles, I'm from Carey,Ohio

so what your saying is even though we talked to the track the whole step of building our cars and they were ok with everything that now we should have to go change the stuff cause uare the only one complaining...why not be happy that there is finally a car count and we are going in the right direction.. seems theres always a issue why is that i mean u guys beat me every week right so whats the problem... maybe it has something to do with Tony taken the points lead this week..If we were not with the tech guys while building these cars i could totaly understand your issue but they okd it so why would it be ok for them to say do it but then when 1 person complains make us change it not fair at all nobody is stopping any of u from building a bar car..just sayin..

Chris rules are rules and Tony has nothing to do with it, You say they gave the ok to build the cars, I have been talking with Bobby for over 4 weeks and he has said no one came to them about building these cars. There not stock cars but mods with damn fenders.
Take the fenders off and go up a class and run with them, your and Tonys cars might as well be limited lates and running at Oakshade.
There should be no rotating birdcages on spring or bar cars period. We lost a rear gear last week in Jordans car so I don't want to hear about tony taking over the points. There should be no reason y you and tonys cars should not be winning every week, with them cars and the way there built. Besides missing the set ups.
There is more then just me talking about them car in this class??? Tim

This ain't nascar so no need for rule changes in middle of season. Sure bar cars will hook up better some nights but I hope they leave rules as they are for remainder of year. If its been good this long then no need to penalize teams with 7 races left. If any changes are made it would be awesome if they are announced at final race since some teams have a lot done by october when season ends before fair week.
