I love the street stocks that run the Bedford/ hagerstown/Winchester circuit, definitely some of the sharpest looking ( and fastest! ) cars around! At Bedford you can still tell what type/make of car they are.

Hey Ed, correct me if I am wrong here but back in the old PRA days if a car got banged up didn't they have to have the body straightened out within 3 weeks ? I'm thinking of back in the dirt track days. Those cars always looked good.
And I also remember when tracks had a rule theat late models had to run a body of the past 3 model years.

Pretty much right on. But then again, all through the years of who I have been associated with, i.e. Luffy, Borawiec, Buccella, The cars were always pounded out straight and touched up weekly, which kind of how I got my start.

The PRA had a 10 year body limit, and back then those guys kept up on body work to a point. Funny though, at the big end of the season races at Heidleberg, a lot of the out of towners had pretty rough looking cars. I'd say today's late models, (like them or not), keep up with body work also. Statline and Eriez had a 3 year limit in the 50's-60's and 70's, wanting there late models to be "late models"Hey Ed, correct me if I am wrong here but back in the old PRA days if a car got banged up didn't they have to have the body straightened out within 3 weeks ? Those bodies are quite expensive and very labor intensive to keep straight. They look great, but they are as impractical as impractical can be.
