One week ago, on Saturday June 22nd, the life and future of Polyak Motorsports took a major hit. After an excellent 12th place A Main finish during the 2nd leg of Ohio Sprint Speedweek at Eldora Saturday night, a devastating fire ripped through the team's trailer in the motel parking lot as the team slept. With the team being loaded up for Ohio Sprint Speedweek, the fire destroyed the entire sprint car operation including Paige's helmet, seat, Hans device, gloves, shoes, and the majority of her new t-shirt shipment. Nothing in the trailer is salvageable and is a total lost. With the insurance company not covering the car, engine, or the majority of the trailer contents, the team needs some major help to get back on the track in the future. A special fund at www.gofundme.com/3enonc has been set-up to help Paige get back on the track and pursue her racing career. Entering this 410 rookie season, Paige is in her 13th year as a driver. After starting her go-kart career in 2001, Paige took home 35 wins and 3 track championships before moving into micro sprints in 2004. During her micro sprint career Paige brought home another 20 wins as well as an Indiana state micro sprint championship and a track championship at State Line Speedway in Edon Ohio. In 2009, Paige moved up to the 305 ranks. During her 305 career, Paige made history by becoming the first female to win A Main sprint car events at Eldora Speedway, Attica Raceway Park, and Fremont Speedway in Ohio. With 7 career wins, 1 against the NRA 360s, Paige entered her rookie 410 season this year. Having some good early season runs, the best a 2nd place finish with the All Star Sprints at I-77 Speedway in West Virginia, Paige was starting to make some noise in her rookie 410 season. With this devastating blow this past Saturday, Paige and the entire Polyak Motorsports team would like to thank all of the people who have showed support and have already started to reach out to them. Along with Orbit Fun Center, HE Rudy Trucking, Steyer Seeds, JLH Contractors, Napa Auto Parts of Bryan, Circle H Tire, Tiffany's Furniture, Handy Grafix, The Pit Stop of Tiffin, Burns Electric of Tiffin, Kistler Engines, Meggitt Sandblasting, Ned F Gregg Reality, Bryan Auto Plaza, and John Oliver Motorsports for all the support this season. As Paige searches for a way to get back on track, you can help out by going to www.gofundme.com/3enonc or contact Paige Polyak Racing on Facebook.com or by calling 419-355-6242, 567-230-0221, or 419-553-6746 for more information. Thanks for your support!!
